They're only united because they have a common enemy.

That's what some people are doing against VDM. It's not necessarily because they care about one another or share the same values. They're simply joining forces because they all oppose the same person.

A common enemy can create temporary alliances, but that doesn't always mean there's genuine unity.

So there’s this trending video of an abroad returnee confronting a police officer who allegedly demanded a bribe from him. Things got heated, and the officer said, “If you were Igbo, I would have packed you.”

Omo, imagine how many Igbos felt watching that video. It’s already bad enough that an officer allegedly demanded a bribe from someone whose vehicle papers were complete. But to now drag tribe into it? That is even more disturbing.

So what if he was Igbo? Would he have been arrested simply because of his ethnicity? If an officer can make such a statement so confidently, then imagine how many innocent Igbos may have been wrongly arrested, locked up in police cells, or unlawfully detained simply because they are Igbo. That alone should worry every Nigerian.

This goes beyond alleged extortion. It raises serious questions about discrimination, abuse of office, and ethnic profiling. Every Nigerian is entitled to equal treatment under the law, regardless of tribe. An officer who allows ethnicity to influence how he treats citizens has no business wearing the uniform.

My conclusion is simple: the officer is not just a thief but a tribalistic thief. He should be removed from the police force immediately.

Walking in a lonely road at night is not a consent to be attacked by armed robbers but if you know a particular road is notorious for predating, you’d advise your friends or relatives not to walk that road alone in the night.

Advising them does not translate to justifying armed robbery by those who rob people that use that road at night. If anything it will save people from getting further harassed.

I’m sure all of us have at one time or the other advised people not to travel by road in Nigeria if they can or not to do certain things that expose them to danger.

The question is: does following a guy to a hotel room with only both of you present expose u you to any risk under this context? Yes. Have we supported the perpetrator? No

In Nigeria, exchanging sx for money or prostitution is a criminal offence, likewise coercing someone to have sx with you for grades, favour or any number of things.

Also, even when consent has been granted and you eventually meet with a person and during that meeting, you withdraw the consent before the act, the consent granted is overridden.

But I’ll still advise my daughter when growing up that she has no business following any man inside a hotel room for any meeting of any sort except she is going there for ge***al meet and greet and as many of you who will argue with this opinion will do the same in real life but as you know, we like the rush of emotions a lot and we like to take advantage of that rush to blame or blakmel people who have dissenting voices or opinions. So because someone died, those who are advocating for precaution are grape apologists ??? If you are doing this to teach people how to shvt up when such topics are going on and emotions are high so that you can be free to fly narratives anyhow you want, you are wasting your precious time.

Before Akara Became Trending… I Was There 🍘

Before our First Lady encouraged Nigerians to venture into Akara Business, Agbado and Kulikuli, I had already been in the game for years here in Lagos.

Those who know me in Agege Ayobo Market can attest.
Those who know me at Agege Pen Cinema can attest.
Those who know me at Ikeja Computer Village can attest.

I remember those days when I was begging my pastor to empower me so I could start my own akara business because I was serving someone (boy boy level according to Igbo culture 😭😂). Baba refused… but today, we thank God because every experience became part of the journey.

Before people started talking about it, I was already there. Experience no be today.

Since media equipment money is not available for now, I want to officially call on the Nigerian Government and all destiny helpers to support me to continue my AKARA BUSINESS.

And this time, we are not stopping at akara alone, Puff Puff is joining the movement.
