CHAPTER TWO
Bismillah
Days passed, and Siyama couldn't stop thinking about Yusuf . She wondered if their encounter was mere coincidence or fate's way of reuniting them.
At work, her colleagues noticed her distraction. "Siyama, are you okay?" her boss asked, concern etched on his face.
Siyama forced a smile. "Yes, I'm fine. Just preoccupied with some personal stuff."
That evening, Siyama received a text from Yusuf: "Hey, how are you? Still up for coffee?"
Her heart skipped a beat as she typed out a response: "When were you thinking?"
Yusuf replied instantly: "How about tomorrow? 2 pm at Starbucks?"
Siyama's palms grew sweaty as she agreed. What was she getting herself into?
Siyama arrived at Starbucks early, nervously fidgeting with her purse. Yusuf walked in, looking dashing in a tailored suit.
As they sipped their coffee, Siyama felt like no time had passed. Their conversation flowed effortlessly, like they were picking up where they left off.
But beneath the surface, Siyama knew there were unresolved issues. She had been hurt deeply by Yusuf's past mistakes.
"Suf, why did you reach out?" Siyama asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Siyama expression turned serious. "I've been thinking about us a lot lately. I realize I made mistakes, Siyama. I'm willing to work on them if you give me a chance."
Siyama's heart skipped a beat. Was she ready to take that chance
As they parted ways, Siyama felt a sense of uncertainty. She didn't know if she was ready to reopen old.
