Being a sickle cell warrior Mom has always not been easy for the privileged, the average & the poor family.
I have been there and understand what it means when your child goes into a crisis in the middle of the night & there's no dime in your pocket.
We all have times when life feels real hard when we are frustrated & tired,you just want to hide away or die.
It usually bring tears to my eyes when i see warriors-parents go through hardships , low budget and hospital bills most especially in Africa where there are no health insurance policies.
I have always been a care giver to my son and others and today i pray for all care givers and warrior parents that the Lord is your strength and your strong tower that you run to in terms of troubles and he will always make you strong and provide for you🙏🏻

This is a sad week for the Sickle cell community as it has lost 5 warriors that i know of.
We may not live in the the same city ,state, country or continent but we are bound by one common disorder that needs a cure. We will keep on fighting for you & every Warrior that has gained their wings. Our condolences to every family in this period of grief.
Rest on Warriors,we love you.

Watching your daughter,Son ,Wife Or Husband Fight Sickle cell disorder everyday the Stigma, Discrimination, Pains and not forgetting the Fatigue on a daily basis while fighting back the tears as a mum or caregiver & still keep the smile on is enough battle but we give God thanks for the strength. 🙏

Anything that disrupts your balance has the potential to cause pain. Fortunately, our minds are powerful tools that can help us overcome challenges and thrive. By acknowledging this potential, we can empower ourselves to stay resilient and well.

Acute chest syndrome is a lung -related complication of sickle cell disorder that can lower the levels of oxygen in the blood and can be life threatening.

Acute chest syndrome is a condition characterized by chest pains,cough,fever,hypoxia(low oxygen) & lung infiltrates. It may be the result of sickling in the small blood vessels in the lungs causing pulmonary infraction,viral or bacterial pneumonia. To avoid it do away with ice cold water,smoke,cigarettes
