Ogbuloko Ukpata Ogoji was born in 1891 in a little town of Ihuega in Idelle clan of Igede district which is now know as Uwokwu district according Benue bulletin 1976.
Ogbuloko father Ukpata was a professional Hunter and a basket maker, been one of the leading member of the group Ogbuloko father initiated little Ogbuloko into the group early. And he grew to be fond of medicine and sought the society to learned medicine men in the area . Unfortunately Ogbuloko lost his dear father at the age of 18.
By 1918 at the age of twenty seven, he got married to his first wife name Enyi Ode from his village Ihuega. Unfortunately Enyi had no issue which prompt the man Ogbuloko to get marry to three other wives. Eneyi Okwe from Ikachi, Ujor Okwonye from Iyokollo Idelle and Igele Olem from Egbila Idelle who latter betrayed him. Igele been the last wife was the favourite of the man Ogbuloko by this he swore unto her never to hid anything from her. At the age of 35 his fame has spread across the boundaries of his clan and some villages close to his clan.
As a brave man Ogbuloko stood up to defend his people from the insolent, from the British which began their reign in the early 1919 but established their rules from 1926. Just like the David in the Bible, The Man Ogbuloko stood for his people and fought tooth to tooth for people between the year 1926-1929.
The British unleash great terror on the igede people by abusive nature to the culture, numbering of the people, inhuman treatment of the people by making them to carry them on their shoulder across streams and dark forest, unpleasant way in taxation and many inhuman treatment of the people.
The war began shortly after Ogbuloko went to free sixteen woman who were strips naked and displayed in open market and twenty other men were also arrested, this arouse the anger of Ogbuloko who went to appeal to the British to release this woman but it all fell to deaf ears of the white men.
