BREAKING NEWS 😞

Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have freed 416 women and children abducted from the Ngoshe community in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, three months after the mass abduction.

The captives were released on June 6, 2026, according to the Borno South Youth Alliance [BOSYA], which said it secured their freedom through sustained mediation with the insurgents.

The group was seized on March 4 when fighters overran a military base and attacked Ngoshe town, killing an unspecified number of people, burning vehicles, and taking mostly women and children hostage. The insurgents later released a video showing the captives and demanded a N5 billion ransom.

BOSYA president Samaila Kaigama said the organisation had been in communication with the group since the abduction and acted as an intermediary. “We are happy and grateful that through our efforts, our persistent cries, and long discussions, the results are now being seen,” he said.

Some victims had escaped earlier. Twelve fled in late April after military operations forced the insurgents to abandon them in Sambisa Forest, and troops of Operation Hadin Kai rescued 60 others in May along the Mandara Mountains corridor.

Kaigama called on the Federal Government, Borno State Government, and Gwoza LGA authorities to ensure proper screening and rehabilitation of the released captives. The Borno State Commissioner of Information and Internal Security, Usman Tar, had not commented as of press time.

Ngoshe lies near the Mandara Mountains, a known insurgent stronghold. The March attack displaced thousands and triggered renewed military operations in the area.

💔 HEARTBREAKING: LITTLE GIRL FROM OYO KIDNAPPING DIES IN CAPTIVITY 💔

This sweet, joyful-looking girl was among the students/pupils abducted in Oyo State.

Tragic information reaching us confirms that she passed away in captivity after a brief illness – at the hands of the bandits holding her.

Rest in peace, my little daughter. May your enemies never know peace for the rest of their lives. This is so disheartening...

Last Thursday night I ran out of fuel on Third Mainland Bridge.
11pm.
Phone at 2%.
No powerbank.
I want to tell you what happened next.

I pushed the hazard lights on and sat in the car. Trying to think. Cars were flying past me. Nobody slowed down.
Not one person.

Lagos at night on that bridge is a different kind of alone. After about 15 minutes I saw headlights slow down behind me. A danfo bus.
Old. Battered. One headlight slightly dim.
The driver came down.
Big man. Rough looking. Dirty shirt. Chewing something.
My first thought was fear.
My second thought was I had no choice. He looked at my car.
Looked at me.
Said "fuel?" I nodded.
He didn't say anything else.
Just went back to his bus.
I thought he was leaving.
He wasn't.He came back with a small gallon. Maybe two liters.
Old plastic container with a rubber pipe attached.
Like he kept it specifically for situations like this.
He poured it into my tank without being asked.
Without negotiating.
Without even looking at me for approval.I started the car.
It came on.
I came down immediately and opened my wallet. I had ₦15,000 on me. I held it out to him. He looked at the money.
Then looked at me.
And shook his head.I thought he wanted more.
I told him it was all I had.
He said "keep am."
Just like that. Keep am.
I stood there confused.
This man just helped a stranger on a bridge at 11pm and didn't want anything.I asked him why.
He leaned against his bus.
Took a long breath.
And said something I have not stopped thinking about since. He said in 1998 he broke down on that same bridge.
Night time.
Pregnant wife in the passenger seat.
No phone. No money. No fuel.
He said he sat there for almost an hour crying and praying. Then a man in a big car stopped. Suit and tie.
Looked like someone who had no business stopping for a danfo driver. But he stopped.
Bought fuel from somewhere.
Came back. Filled his tank.
Refused every kobo he offered.
Said only one thing before he drove off."Pass am forward."
That was it. Pass am forward.

The man in the suit drove away and he never saw him again.
25 years he carried those three words.
Third Mainland Bridge.
Waiting for his own turn to use them.I stood on that bridge and didn't know what to say.
This man had been holding onto someone else's kindness for 25 years.
And he chose me to give it to.
A stranger in a car he had never seen before. He got back into his danfo.
Gave me one nod.
And drove off into the night.
I stood there watching his one dim headlight disappear.
Holding ₦15,000 I couldn't give away.I sat back in my car for a long time before I drove off.
Thinking about the man in the suit in 1998.
Who had no idea what he started.
A chain of kindness that crossed 25 years and found me on the same bridge.I don't know who that danfo driver is.
I don't know his name.
But somewhere in Lagos tonight he is driving that old bus.
With one dim headlight.
And a heart that has been quietly changing lives since 1998.
Pass am forward.

*What are you passing forward today*?

Karma!!!!!

You will definitely reap something some day.
Depends on what you have been sowing!!!!

Shocking: Weapons Stolen During the 2011 Libya Conflict Now in the Hands of Terrorists in Nigeria – UN Reveals

The United Nations has warned that weapons stolen during the 2011 Libya conflict are still circulating in West Africa and are now being used by extremist groups in Nigeria and neighboring countries.

The warning was given by UN Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for Disarmament Affairs, Izumi Nakamitsu during a briefing at the United Nations headquarters in New York. She explained that the weapons looted after the fall of Libya’s former leader, Muammar Gaddafi, were smuggled across borders into countries like Niger, Burkina Faso, and Nigeria.

According to her, these arms have continued to fuel insecurity, violence, and terrorism long after the original conflict ended, as they keep moving between armed groups in the region.

The UN is calling for stronger international cooperation to stop the illegal movement of weapons that continues to worsen instability in West Africa.

DOCTOR ZO APOLOGIZES TO NNAMDI KANU AND IPOB, CALLS FOR IPOB LEADER’S RELEASE

An abroad-based doctor and social media commentator, Doctor Zo, has publicly issued an emotional apology to Nnamdi Kanu and members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

In a post shared online, he admitted that he was wrong for previously dismissing Nnamdi Kanu, saying he once believed the IPOB leader was “just talking trash online.”

According to him, he criticized Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB without taking enough time to properly understand their position. He said that after watching several of Kanu’s videos, he now believes he was “woefully wrong” in his earlier judgment.

He expressed regret over his past stance and tendered an apology to the detained separatist leader and the movement, adding that if Nigeria had paid closer attention earlier, the country might have handled insecurity differently.

He further appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging the federal government to release Nnamdi Kanu, insisting that “fair is fair.”

Breaking news: China Harbour Begins Feasibility Survey for Proposed Obeaku Seaport in Abia State

A technical team from China Harbour Engineering Company Limited has commenced feasibility and hydrographic surveys for the proposed Obeaku Seaport in Abia State.

The team, accompanied by senior officials of the state government, visited Ukwa East Local Government Area to assess the waterways and carry out bathymetric and navigational studies aimed at determining the viability of the project.

During the inspection, the Aku of Obeaku Kingdom, HRH Eze Ikeagwuchi Ekeke, reaffirmed the community’s full support for the project. He noted that the community has already donated over 2,000 plots of land and remains committed to ensuring the successful ex*****on of the seaport.

He also emphasized that the project should be officially named “Obeaku Seaport,” rather than “Azumini-Obeaku Seaport,” reflecting the identity of the host community.

State government officials described the survey as a major milestone, noting that the project is expected to boost economic activity, create jobs, and strengthen maritime trade in Abia State and the wider South-East region.
