Olamaboro Chairmanship: Hon. Achor Picks Expression Of Interest And Nomination Forms

A Chairmanship Aspirant for Olamaboro Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Achor has purchased his Expression Of Interest And Nomination Forms under the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the Council poll come 2026 in Kogi State.

Hon. Achor whose nomination was a thing of joy for the people of the Area, purchased the forms at the State Party Secretariat in Lokoja, following a Government pronouncement on where the Chairmanship position should be zoned to in Olamaboro Local Government.

Prior to this, there were agitations in some quarters that the Chairmanship position should be zoned to Ogugu district, while others were agitating for the position to be retained by Olamaboro district, a move that was faced with intense opposition.

However, the pronouncement of Hon. Emmanuel Achor, who hails from Ogugu District, as the Chairmanship Aspirant for Olamaboro Local Government under the platform of APC, has finally laid to rest the trouble that was brewing in the local government as the people of the area, particularly the youth have welcome his nomination.

Hon. Achor was accompanied to the APC Secretariat by supporters, loyalists as well as some Councilorship Aspirants from the area.

The Kogi State APC Secretary, Hon. Joshua Emmanuel Onoja who received Hon. Achor cogratulated him and wished him success in the election ahead.

Kogi United FC Beats State NYSC Team In Friendly Match

The Kogi United Football Club, on Tuesday evening, defeated the NYSC State Team in their friendly match at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja.

The match which was part of the activities marking the 31st anniversary of Kogi United Football Club ended 4 - 0 in favor of KOGI UNITED.

Although, the NYSC State Team made concerted efforts to score or even equalize, they were unable to break through Kogi United’s defense, which held them back throughout the match.

Recall that the Kogi United Football Club had also announced a novelty match against Nurudeen Football Academy, Abuja, as part of its 31st‑anniversary celebrations.

The Team Manager of the Club, Mr. Itodo Michael Olachene in a statement had noted that the novelty match will take place on twenty third of November at Confluence stadium, Lokoja at three o'clock in the afternoon.

SHEROES CUP PRE-SEASON 2025: Confluence Queens FC Records First Victory, Defeats Danaz FC Two Zero

The Confluence Queens Football Club, Lokoja, has recorded their first victory at the ongoing Sheroes Cup Pre-season Tournament, after defeating their opponent, Dannaz Football Club two zero.

The first goal for Confluence Queens FC was secured by Adeyemo Ajoke in the first half of the match, while the second Goal was secured by Emmanuel Senbe in the second half.

All efforts by Dannaz to retaliate proved abortive as the Confluence Queens dominated the game on day one of the Sheroes Cup Pre-season Tournament.

Eailer, the Chairman of Kogi United Football Club, Hon. Isah Abudulmalik Dolly whose presence at the match was a boost for the Confluence Queens, had promised to gift 20, 000 to the players if they win their first match. The chairman after the competition fulfilled his promise to the players.

After the outstanding performance of the Confluence Queens FC at the competition, a player of the club, Hauwa Bashir received best player Award.
