I need a job, I'm tired of seeing my dream fading away ~ young Kogi girl from Ankpa cries out

She wrote šŸ‘‡

My name is Nafisat Muhammad, from Ofugo/Inye, Ankpa LGA, Kogi State. I hold a Diploma in Mass Communication from Sokoto State Polytechnic and I am now a graduate of Mass Communication from Kogi State University, Ayangba (B.Sc.).

Today, I come before you not with pride, but with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes 😭. For a long time, I have been carrying this burden alone, but I can no longer keep silent. I have tried to be strong, but every night I cry, praying to Allah for a way out šŸ’”.

After graduating, I have searched far and wide for a job. I submitted applications, knocked on doors, prayed, and hoped, but nothing came my way. The only job I managed to secure is as a cleaner in a hotel.

I didn’t take this job because it was easy, but because I have a dream:

šŸ’š To enroll in Mama Onu Culinary Academy and learn professional culinary skills, so that I can stand on my feet and create opportunities for others tomorrow.

I first approached Abdullahi Rofiat (Chef Darajah) to learn under her, but the cost was too high for me. So, I humbled myself and took the cleaner job, hoping to save little by little for the training fees.

But because of the high transportation cost, I’ve been unable to save anything at all. I work tirelessly Monday to Sunday, 7 AM to 5 PM, yet my hands remain empty. Watching my dream slip away is breaking me more than the work itself šŸ˜šŸ’”.

Today, I am appealing to your kind hearts. I am begging not for luxury, but for a chance — a chance to make my dream come true.

Please help me, not for my sake, but for the sake of Allah (SWT).
May Allah (SWT), in His infinite mercy, ease your difficulties, accept your secret prayers, and reward you abundantly for any kindness you show me.

In Kogi State today, these two are the most influential and popular political figures in the opposition party. Muritala Yakubu Ajaka (Muri) and Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, both of them are the two dynamic figures who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and political skills.

Muri, the SDP governorship candidate, has garnered significant support, while Senator Natasha, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, has been a vocal advocate for women's rights and good governance.

Any government serious about winning elections on the basis of popularity and capacity should take note of these influential politicians. 2027 is going to be a shocker for a lot of people.

It’s a long walk to justice while we celebrate a renewed commitment of service with integrity and courage.

Thus, I deeply appreciate the good people of Kogi Central, Kogi state and Nigeria at large for their voices, prayers and support. This isn’t my victory alone, it’s ours to behold and celebrate.

The NIGERIA LABOUR CONGRESS (N.L.C), Nigerian Bar Association, Womanifesto, Socio-Economic Rights & Accountability Project - SERAP , numerous political parties amongst many others stood firm in demanding accountability for justice…THANK YOU!!!

To my husband, children and the many heroes who have become family in the cause of our pursuit for justice… my gratitude is endless.

I trust our collective sacrifices would yield a better and equitable country.

On God, People and Country,
Senator Natasha H Akpoti Uduaghan
Proudly Kogi Central šŸ‡³šŸ‡¬

My husband told me he wanted to marry a second wife. Imagine! It wasn’t as if I had no children for him, I had already given him two fine sons.

We were okay, living well, but he just woke up one morning and declared that one woman was no longer enough for him. According to him, he needed ā€œanother woman.ā€

Now, my husband is the type who, once he makes a decision, nothing can move him to change it.

So, I said nothing.

The next day, he repeated it. He even announced that the introduction would be the following weekend and that I should prepare to welcome my co-wife with open arms.

Again, I didn’t argue, I didn’t complain. Why waste my energy? It was his decision.

But one thing was certain... I had my plans.

I let him go ahead with the introduction. I let him throw the traditional wedding in grand style, the kind of wedding that drains pockets and feeds gossipers.

Oh! I let him spend and spend, smiling all the while.

Then, the weekend he went for the white wedding, I quietly packed my bags, carried my two sons, drove off with my car, sold the house and everything in it, and returned all the documents to my father’s company.

Yes, you heard right, my father’s company, the very source of the wealth my husband had been flaunting.

Because let’s not forget; I was the one who made him rich. All that wealth wasn’t his sweat, it was mine.

And now, he wanted to reward me by bringing home a second wife?

Oh no. I didn’t need to shout, fight, or throw tantrums. I simply took everything that belonged to me and left. I left for another state.

If he wants to start afresh with his new wife, I was generous enough to give him that opportunity.

When he returned home and found the house was no longer his, he called me in panic to ask questions.

ā€œOh honey,ā€ I told him sweetly, ā€œI just took what belongs to me so that you and your new wife can enjoy each other in peace.ā€

He almost cried on the phone. ā€œYou know I don’t have money right now. I spent everything on this wedding. You never told me you didn’t want me to get married again! I spent literally everything because I thought you were comfortable with it! Now I’m left with nothing. And it’s your fellow woman we’re talking about here... your fellow woman will suffer? She’s pregnant. Can’t you at least have pity on her because of her condition?ā€

Pregnant? Ah! So, it didn’t even start with the wedding. He had been cheating on me all along!

Because I said nothing, he assumed I was comfortable with having a co-wife?

I laughed and told him calmly, ā€œThen please, start a new life with your pregnant wife. But know this, the easy life you once had with me? You’ll never see it again.ā€

I cut the call and relaxed. No need for long talk.

Bundle of Joy in Kogi State

Great news from Kogi State as this proud father welcomes a beautiful set of quadruplets into his family. Truly, children are a blessing from God, and being gifted with four at once is nothing short of a miracle.

We celebrate with him and his family on this special occasion and pray for good health, long life, and abundant blessings upon the babies. May they grow in wisdom, strength, and favor. šŸ™ā¤ļø
