I just wanted to share this with you.
Two keys to get your child to always confide in you are;
1. Don't be judgemental towards him/her.
2. Don't jump into hasty conclusion. Ask questions. Find out the 'why' behind his/her actions, words etc. before drawing conclusions.
These build trust and strong parent- child bond.
NB: if your child can't confide in you, then you are in a precarious situation.
