NYCN PRESIDENT COMMENDS COMMISSIONING OF BAREFOOT RENEWABLE ENERGY COLLEGE IN KOGI

The President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Comr. Isah Onimisi Babangida, has congratulated the Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Mustapha Abdullahi, on the successful commissioning of the Barefoot Renewable Energy College, Kogi State (BARECKS), describing the project as a transformative investment in Nigeria's youth and the nation's sustainable energy future.
According to the NYCN President, the establishment of BARECKS demonstrates visionary leadership and a firm commitment to developing the human capital required to drive Nigeria's transition to clean and renewable energy.

Comr. Babangida called on Nigerian youths to embrace the opportunities provided by the institution by acquiring technical knowledge and entrepreneurial skills that will enable them to compete effectively in the rapidly growing global green economy.
He also expressed the Council's profound appreciation to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his visionary leadership under the Renewed Hope Agenda and for the strategic appointment of the Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, whose outstanding performance continues to justify the confidence reposed in him.
The NYCN President further commended His Excellency, Ahmed Usman Ododo, for providing the enabling environment that made the successful establishment and commissioning of the college possible, noting that the collaboration between the Federal Government and Kogi State Government reflects a shared commitment to youth empowerment and national development.
The National Youth Council of Nigeria reaffirms its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote innovation, skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, renewable energy development, and sustainable economic growth for the benefit of Nigerian youths.
