Accreditation: Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum gifts N81million worths of equipment to UNIMAID

Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum in order to rescue the department of Civil and water resources engineering for failing to pass accreditation, has procured twenty sets of equipment amounting to 81 million naira, among which some are first of its kind in the Northeast to the department.

The Commissioner for higher education, science, technology and innovation, Dr. Babagana Malumbe Mustapha presented the equipments on behalf of the Governor.

Malumbe, explained that the Governor procured the equipments amounting to about 81 million naira on the request of the University, after the department failed to pass accreditation.

"This came as a result of request from the University to the Executive Governor of Borno state, when the department of civil and water resources engineering lost accreditation in the last accreditation excercise." Malumbe said

"And I can remember what his Excellency said then, we cannot afford to be in government and a department in our own faculty will loose accreditation. That's when he immediately directed the ministry to ensure that we procure the equipments."

The Commissioner also observed that the greater percentage of the University are indigenes of Borno state, one of pillers of his administration is education and as a professor who knows the importance of education, hence the promt support to the University.

He further explained that issues of changes in monetary exchange policy hindered the procurement of the equipments on time.

The Vice Chancellor, University of Maiduguri, Professor Aliyu Shugaba, who received the equipments cannot hide his admiration and appreciation to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum.

ANOTHER BLOCKS OF 3 CLASSROOMS TO NGARNAM PRIMARY SCHOOL, BOLORI 2 WARD COURTESY OF RT HON ABDULKADIR RAHIS

As part of his legislative functions and responsibilities coupled with his absolute determination towards ensuring that Education is accessible to all his constituents and to compliment the efforts of His Excellency the Executive Governor of Borno State Prof Babagana Umara Zullum (Mni, Fnse), Rt Hon Abdulkadir Rahis has once again sponsored and facilitated the construction of another Block of 3Classrooms in favour of Ngarnam Primary School of Bolori 2 ward.

It should be noted that the Blocks of Classrooms are to be provided with furniture for both the students and the classroom teacher, Whiteboards, decks, chairs and basic teaching learning materials are also part of the project and all will be delivered as soon as possible.

It is on record that the Hon member has now sponsored and constructed various blocks of Classrooms in all the wards of Maiduguri Metropolitan Council.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu APPOINTS Alhaji Yahaya Bello NATIONAL YOUTH COORDINATOR OF PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL

His Excellency, Gov. Yahaya Bello has been appointed as the National Youth Coordinator of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.

The appointment was conveyed in a letter addressed to Bello, signed by the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu.

Tinubu, in the letter, stressed that Bello, who was an aspirant in the party’s presidential primaries, held in May 2022, deserved the appointment, owing to his impressive political achievements and the exemplary leadership he had demonstrated as governor of his state and as a party member.

The former governor of Lagos State, Tinubu, added that he was confident that the Kogi Governor would do his best in the new responsibility given him so that the party could run an effective, message-driven campaign, which would lead to victory in the 2023 Presidential election.

Recall that multitudes of youths and women across the six geo-political zones of Nigeria, had, during the build-up to the APC presidential primary election, demonstrated their strong support for the Kogi Governor, owing to his youth- and women-friendly policies.

Party members and analysts have described this appointment as a big boost for the campaign, considering the important place of youths in the 2023 elections and the impressive youth-targeted campaigns Bello conducted before the primary election.

Borno State (IT) Youth specialists under the leadership of comrade Bulama Haruna( Sawa) has organize a two weeks digital traning for 100 youths across Borno State which is sponsored by Engr. Dr. Muhammad Musa Aliyu the general manager of Borno State Rural water supply and sanitaion agency (RUWASA).

The training is aim at providing and ensuring that Borno State youths have vast knowlege and experince on information and technology to compete with the emerging world.

The training is inline with the Borno State (25) years development plan of professor Babagana Umara Zullum Mni,FNSE
The executive Governor of Borno State.

The topics to be discuss during the training are;
