: Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, has donated ₦100 million to support wounded soldiers and the families of those killed in the fight against insurgency in the northeast.

The donation was announced during an Eid El-Kabir luncheon at Maimalari Barracks, Maiduguri, hosted by the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Air Staff.

Each wounded soldier will receive ₦500,000, while the rest will go to families of the fallen.

The governor, while presenting the cheque to the Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai, reaffirmed Borno’s unwavering support for the military, praising their resilience and sacrifices in restoring peace to the region.

The vehicles got stuck in a swampy terrain during a fight against terrorists and were demobilized to prevent them from being used by the enemy. The Nigerian Air Force has dealt a significant blow to terrorism in Borno, killing 5 top terrorist commanders and over 35 fighters in airstrikes! Meet 70-Year old Inventor Engr. Hadi Usman

Engr Hadi Usman, an inventor who established a radio station, Radio transmitter, Vespa engine helicopter, telephone (handset), etc, in the 1970s,

The inventor also recently invented a generator that doesn't use any form of fuel, stove that uses water and many other inventions.

Engr Hadi made astonishing presentations , unveiling some of his recent breakthrough inventions including a security apparatus on the 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th combined convocation at Gombe State University.

Interestingly, the engr never attended any formal education, but has memorized the Holy Qur'an at the age of 12.

Hadi is 70 years old, proud indigine of Gombe State from Jekadafari Ward of Gombe LGA.

ABUJA: NAF HELICOPTER CRASHES AT CHUKUBA VILLAGE, NIGER STATE

A Nigerian Air Force MI-171 Helicopter on a casualty evacuation mission crashed today, 14 August 2023 at about 1.00 pm near Chukuba Village in Niger State.

In a statement, Spokesperson, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet explains the aircraft departed Zungeru Primary School enroute Kaduna but was later discovered to have crashed near Chukuba Village in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

Efforts are currently ongoing to rescue the crew and passengers on board the helicopter, while preliminary investigations have commenced to determine the probable cause of the crash.

Military falsifies rumors of request to take-over govt

The Nigerian Defence Headquarters has debunked a rumor circulating on social media about the Nigerian Amed Forces receiving a request to effect a Coup d'etat.

Brig. Gen. Tukur Gusau, director of defence information in a press statement he issued on Sunday said the report is false and disturbing.

'The Defence Headquarters is concerned about a false and disturbing social media reports twisted to state that the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) received request to effect change of leadership in the country.

'We want to use this opportunity to reiterate that the AFN never received nor made such declaration at any time to anyone or any group. We believe this statement came from those who do not wish the nation well. It is surely the wicked imagination of a few who are not happy with the progress and well-being of our dear country.

'The AFN is very comfortable with democracy and remain loyal to the President, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. The military is always willing and ready to defend the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

'We urge those peddling such falsehood to desist from such or face the law. The Military and indeed other security agencies are on the look-out for these agents of doom. We must all join hands to strengthen our democracy.’
