: Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, has donated ₦100 million to support wounded soldiers and the families of those killed in the fight against insurgency in the northeast.
The donation was announced during an Eid El-Kabir luncheon at Maimalari Barracks, Maiduguri, hosted by the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Air Staff.
Each wounded soldier will receive ₦500,000, while the rest will go to families of the fallen.
The governor, while presenting the cheque to the Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai, reaffirmed Borno’s unwavering support for the military, praising their resilience and sacrifices in restoring peace to the region.
