The U-report program collaborated with UNICEF to combat Cholera.

At the Muhammad Indimi Hall, University of UNIMAID. The following are the distinguished dignitaries, ladies and gentle men present: His excellency, the vice chancellor of Unimaid, The distinguished ambassadors of the UNICEF, Unimaid students, serving corpers in Borno state. And finally is Abdul Usman, the moderator for the event.
The opening remarks of the event was taken by Aisha Amusa the Director of environmental control for Borno state.
According to her, Cholera has become so outrageous and the need to combat it must fully be an individuals, family and community collective efforts. This outbreak are a causative effect because of the congestions of many kinds, ranging from indisposed materials that are not properly dissolved.
Nevertheless, Cholera can be preventable so long as safe waste disposal is been practiced. It is important therefore, that the community is educated against it cause it is more of a matter of life and death. And using practical solutions in saving lives against it effects is also very germane in swiping away Cholera.
The chief Ambassador for UNICEF Borno state further elaborate on been an agent of change. In his words he said, "You are agent of change to ensure the safety of the environment. Cholera can kill, you been the agent of change, you cannot only be that agent of change for you home only but also for the entire society."
Apprently, during the course of the program, Zainab a resource person for U_report spoke on how to prevent Cholera, she said that Cholera is a waterborne and contaminated food cause.
She enlightens the audience on the need to always have their food well covered, in doing so, they are avoiding it from spoilage and also preventing it from Cholera disease.
Always endeavour to close your meal and let it be properly preserve. "She resorted."
When you have a cup with which you use for taking water from the main source let it only serve the purpose for that which its used for. Instead of dipping it directly into it main source.
Taking us further on the program was a Spoken word rendered by Mr. Bolanle he enlightened the young minds on; The role of young people in driving out Cholera from the society..
And finally, Austin from UNICEF ambassadorial body give a brief estimation of Cholera Outbreak that had affected over 50,000 persons in states like Borno, Adamawa Bauchi which over 70% died.
He encourages the youth to use the social media to promote and encourage a continue combat to the rampage effect of Outbreak of the Cholera. And to ensure that the practice self and environmental hygiene is put into consideration. Through this positive engagement, the effect of Cholera will be totally swiped out.
That since in the year 1854 till date, cholera has been like a river that flows slowly until it has getton down the stream and as a result of contaminated water and food intake it then had become a problem to the system.
On the last note, the meeting ended with some panel set forward for a discussion.

The panelist were set for a discussion against cholera Outbreak.
The meeting was broadly a very germane sessions through which transformation on all areas as it concerns Cholera and it Outbreak was it's focus.
