Borno State Medical Students Association and NDLEA Host Successful *Educational Spree on Drug Abuse and Career Guidance*
The *Borno State Medical Students Association (BOMSA)* in collaboration with the *National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA)* organized an impactful one-day educational event aimed at sensitizing students on the dangers of drug abuse and providing career guidance at *Government College Maiduguri.*
*Dr. Muhammad Modu Bulama* served as the Master of Ceremonies, making the program an engaging and memorable one.
The program featured insightful presentations from esteemed speakers. *Dr. Muhammad Abdu Lawan* kicked off the event with a presentation on general exam orientation, sharing valuable tips on how to excel in WAEC, NECO, and JAMB examinations.
*The National President of BOMSA, Dr. Muhammad Goni*, delivered a motivational speech, encouraging students to stay focused on their goals and strive for excellence. He was followed by *Umar Bukar, a 600-level medical student* and *former Head Boy of the college*, who shared his experiences and insights with the students,and *Dr.Zanna Ibrahim Elzubair* also gave a word of encouragement to the students .
The highlight of the event was the lecture on the war against drug abuse, presented by *Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics (ASN) Amsami,* representing the NDLEA. ASN Amsami delivered a compelling presentation on the dangers and repercussions of drug abuse, shedding light on the devastating effects of substance abuse on individuals and society.
The event was a resounding success, with students gaining valuable knowledge and insights on the importance of staying away from drug abuse and focusing on their academic and professional pursuits.
