Seek first to understand. Don’t interrupt someone’s expertise only with your overconfidence. Spend more of your time observing, listening and learning instead of wanting to be seen and heard.
We learn by asking questions and absorbing info, not by talking. Suppressing your ego helps you grow. You’re in the wrong place if you’re the smartest person in the room. Always try to be the most inexperienced person in the room at something.

Please when motivating people, let's do well to tell them the true back story.
Tell them it's your Uncle who gave you a large sum to start the business and how many times you failed. Tell them about the loan you took to sponsor the wedding, the debt you had to pay after the business was established, you paid something to someone to get the contract or job.

Tell them about the compromises you made, if there is a sugar Daddy financing it or an altar pushing it, tell them the things you said no to.
Tell them there are sponsors and partners that you are not alone.

Please tell them who and what made you, who supported you and what's keeping you.
Don't tell them you started the supermarket with 2 cowbell milk, and how you faked it till you made it.

The street is full of depressed young people these days angry with themselves and God for things not happening, when the real problem is neither them nor God but the wrong motivation they swallowed.
