Yesterday, Monday 12th January 2026, I attended the inauguration and swearing-in ceremony of the Borno State Transitional Caretaker Committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), held in Maiduguri.

The event marked an important step in strengthening the party’s structure at the state level. I commend the leadership and members of the committee and reaffirm my commitment to working collectively with all stakeholders to build a strong, united, and people-centered ADC in Borno State.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

His Excellency Mohammed Ali Jajari, the 2023 Governorship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Borno State, has formally resigned his membership from the PDP.

After wide consultations and careful consideration of the political realities and the aspirations of the people of Borno State, His Excellency has officially registered with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

This decision is driven by his unwavering commitment to good governance, justice, inclusiveness, and genuine service to the people of Borno State and Nigeria at large.

He remains focused on providing purposeful leadership and a credible alternative platform that aligns with the yearnings of the masses.

I am deeply saddened by the tragic bomb blast at a mosque in Maiduguri, which led to the loss of innocent lives. This cruel act against worshippers is heartbreaking and condemnable.

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLE OF CHIBOK

I extend my heartfelt condolences to the people of Chibok over the recurring attacks and tragic loss of lives. The destruction of homes, worship centers, and livelihoods is deeply saddening.

I call on the Federal Government and security agencies to urgently strengthen security in Chibok and surrounding communities. The lives of our citizens must be protected without delay.

We stand with every affected family and pray for the departed. Chibok deserves safety, Borno deserves peace, and Nigeria deserves security.

We Mourn With Mafa, and We Pray for Lasting Peace in Borno.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to the people of Mafa Local Government Area and the entire Borno State over the recent Boko Haram attack that claimed lives and destroyed properties.

This tragic incident is deeply painful, and my prayers are with the families of the victims, the injured, and all affected. I commend the gallant efforts of our security forces whose bravery helped to restore peace and prevent further loss.
