A reconciliatory meeting between Chen Hobo and Full Fire in Chito, headquarters of Torov, Benue State, has ended peacefully, offering a welcome moment of dialogue and understanding.

A concern has been raised over a forklift operator at GJ Halcyon Limited, located at Jibowu Village along the Sagamu–Abeokuta Expressway in Obafemi Owode, Ogun State, after a worker was reportedly seen wearing a reflective jacket boldly marked “EFCC.”

According to information sent to Benue Info-pedia, the incident occurred at about 10:07 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2026. The sender alleged that the inscription could create the impression that the individual was affiliated with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

However, the available information does not independently establish that the worker was impersonating an EFCC official, nor does it establish why the inscription appeared on the jacket.

The photographs and details have been shared as a matter of public interest, particularly because the use of an official agency’s name or identity on workwear could potentially cause confusion and raise questions about the agency’s identity and integrity.

A farmer identified as Umbugadu Maichibi, popularly known as Maikudin Yashi, was reportedly attacked and injured while working on his groundnut farm in Bassa, Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Former Benue Governor Gabriel Suswam has backed Governor Hyacinth Alia for a second term in 2027, while proposing that the Kwande Intermediate Area should produce the state’s governor in 2031.

Suswam made the declaration in Adikpo during Alia’s statewide thank-you tour, urging Kwande stakeholders to support Alia in 2027 and wait until 2031.

The position could reignite debate over power rotation, especially in Benue South, where stakeholders have long demanded that the governorship shift to Zone C.

The death toll from the Nigerian Army Hilux crash at Peva Market in Takum LGA, Taraba State, has risen to eight, while 12 others are reportedly still receiving treatment for injuries.

The Commanding Officer of 93 Battalion, Takum, visited the affected community, apologized on behalf of the Nigerian Army and accepted responsibility for the incident.

The Army also pledged to provide death certificates, cover burial expenses and ensure security during the transportation of the victims’ remains.

This picture shows the 15 NYSC corps members reportedly abducted in Kogi State while travelling to Abuja after completing their orientation programme in Bayelsa State.

The corps members were reportedly intercepted by gunmen along the Ofu/Itobe–Onicha-Igo axis in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

Reports indicate that the attackers allegedly killed the driver before taking the corps members away.

The identities and whereabouts of the victims remain a matter of concern, while authorities have yet to publicly confirm whether they have been rescued.

Fifteen NYSC corps members have reportedly been kidnapped by gunmen in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State, while travelling from their Permanent Orientation Camp in Bayelsa State to Abuja.

The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, along the Ofu/Itobe–Onicha-Igo axis. Reports indicate that the attackers intercepted the vehicle, killed the driver and abducted the 15 corps members.

A relative of one of the victims reportedly confirmed the incident to FIJ, saying the corps members were on their way to Abuja when the attack occurred.

The development has renewed concerns over the safety of NYSC members travelling across Nigeria.

As of the latest reports, authorities have not publicly provided further details or confirmed whether the abducted corps members have been rescued.
