Benue man, Benjamin Koko accused George Akume of greediness
His full statement
"I am disappointed in you. Our people have always asked: which schools have you built to create employment opportunities? Which hotels have you built to provide jobs for our unemployed youth, any companies?
The state leadership you had always influenced; if everything is not given to you, you render our dear state ungovernable. You want to decide who becomes chairman of all local governments, who becomes the speaker, who selects who will be in charge of the ministry of finance, Bureau of Local Government, including the Ministry of Education, and BIRS? This is unacceptable.
I am not accusing you of sponsoring killings, but Governor Ortom has accused you. Now, members of the public are pointing fingers at you, including the suspicious statement made by the governor. (Abuja politicians)
The silence you have exhibited regarding the Fulani killings demonstrates not only selfishness but also heartlessness. It shows you are a terrible individual who, given the opportunity, would ensure no one in Benue has a voice except you.
Just because one man refused to do your bidding, you are silent at the dying and crying people of Benue State when you hold a highly respected office in government.
Can you not even condole with families who lost their loved ones? Can you not sympathize with them, even as a mere formality?
No serious son or daughter of Benue expects you to take decisions to help mitigate the effects of this Fulani menace. No one expects relief materials for the IDPs because it is all about you. However, your silence indicates that Benue has no son in you.
It is disappointing and regrettable that Benue has no son in authority to cry out, bring suggestions, and commitment to the government in authority to help them because the son in image is all about himself.
When God wanted to permanently silence King Pharaoh of Egypt, He made him stubborn, heartless, wicked, and selfish. God is still on the throne.
To those apologists of Abuja politicians,Pharaoh was also successful,he made kings, and queens but became proud, arrogant and wicked,God ended him shamefully, let's wait and see. "
