This pioneering program marks a major achievement for CEFTIC, which was designed to serve as a student teaching industrial hub operating on a small commercial scale. The complex aims to provide hands-on experience and practical training to students in food science and technology.

"We are thrilled to be part of this groundbreaking program," Dr. Peter said. "CEFTIC's state-of-the-art facilities and industry-experienced instructors will provide our students with unparalleled practical real time industrial training. We look forward to collaborating with other universities and contributing to the growth of the food industry in Nigeria."

MOAUM Takes Over Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Building

Reverend Father Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi, has formally taken over the newly completed Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences building from the contractor, Tidolls Consult Limited, following the project's practical completion.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Tor Joe Iorapuu, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Simon Terver Ubwa, commended the contractor for diligently executing the project and delivering it within budget. He noted that such professionalism and commitment were in line with the university’s renewed focus on quality infrastructure to support teaching and research.

While expressing the university’s appreciation, Professor Ubwa added that the contractor had demonstrated competence and reliability throughout the project’s lifecycle. "We are hopeful that Tidolls Consult will not hesitate to respond favourably if called upon for future engagements," he said.

In his remarks, Pharmacist John Enger, who represented the Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, expressed delight at the quality and timely completion of the project. He praised the University Management for its unwavering support and for ensuring that work continued steadily despite challenges.

Enger, however, noted that the current building, though a significant step forward, may soon become inadequate given the faculty’s anticipated growth. He therefore urged the University Management to begin planning for a purpose-built, long-term structure that would meet the future academic and research needs of the faculty.

The brief but symbolic ceremony marked another milestone in the ongoing infrastructural development across the university, aligning with the Vice-Chancellor’s vision to create an enabling environment for learning and innovation.
