Niger State Governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has sworn-in the new members of the Niger State Independent Electoral Commission.

The farmer Governor presided over the swearing in ceremony as Senior Magistrate Court 7, Halima Yusuf administered oath of office and allegiance on the Chairman and members of the State Electoral Body.

The new Niger State Independent Electoral Commission has Engr. Mohammed Jibrin Imam as the Chairman, Barr. M.A. Liman as the Permanent Commissioner I, Nasiru Ubandiya Permanent Commissioner 2, and Yahaya Idris Abara as Permanent Commissioner 3.

Others are, Capt. Mohammed Baro Permanent Commissioner 4, Kabiru Tanko Zama as Permanent Commissioner 5, Barr. Amina Guar Permanent Commissioner 6, and Barr. Ahmed Borgu as Permanent Commissioner 7.

Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago visited Munya Local Government

Commencing his tour of Zone B constituency of Niger State, Farmer Gov. Mohammed Umaru Bago visited Sarkin Pawa, the headquarters of Munya Local Government Area, where he inspected the 5km Sabon Gari and Hayin Dogo roads in Sarkin Pawa, Munya LGA, under construction by Maritalia Construction Company.

At a reception ceremony organized for him at Central Primary School in Sarkin Pawa, the Governor said he is in Munya to hear directly from the people while advising them on the need to enroll children in school and embrace farming.

He assured the completion of the Sarkin Pawa to Kaduna road, the construction of a standard market in Sarkin Pawa, and the sponsorship of students to study medicine, and to schools of health technology and midwifery to enhance health service delivery.

He also urged the people to cooperate with contractors to ensure the completion of roads, warning that the government will not take lightly anyone who obstructs ongoing construction projects.
