These figures should make us pause and reflect.
Nigeria’s poverty situation is not the story of one administration or one political party. It is a reflection of a challenge that has persisted across successive governments and demands honest leadership, sound economic policies and genuine commitment to improving the lives of ordinary Nigerians.
The real question is not only "who is responsible for where we are today", but what kind of leadership can change the trajectory going forward?
Nigerians deserve an economy where hard work can provide dignity, where businesses can thrive, young people can find meaningful opportunities, and families can afford the basic necessities of life.
The time has come to move beyond political blame and focus on competence, accountability, economic inclusion and solutions that put the people first.
Our politics should ultimately be about one thing: making life better for the people.
