SITUATION REPORT – SHIRORO LOCAL GOVERNMENT LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL
Following the reported successful impeachment of the Leader of the Shiroro Local Government Legislative Council, Hon Yusuf Allawa, tension has reportedly escalated within the Council Secretariat.
Reports indicate that groups of suspected thugs have taken over the premises and are allegedly threatening to set the Secretariat building ablaze. Some Councillors are reportedly still inside the building and have, as of the time of filing this report, refused to come out.
The situation remains tense, and urgent intervention by the appropriate security authorities is recommended to prevent any escalation, protect lives and property, and restore order within the premises.
