We are live today at the IDEAS Project, in collaboration with CESTD, Federal Polytechnic Mubi, currently holding a Train-the-Trainers Workshop facilitated by the project consultant.

The session features presentations including Mrs. Patricia Stephen, who spoke on NYESAF, and Malam Aminu Mohammed Kawu, who delivered an introduction to the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF), among other key topics. The workshop aims to strengthen trainers’ capacity for effective skills delivery under the IDEAS Project.

INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAIHI RAJI’UN
It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that the Management, staff, and students of the Polytechnic announce the passing of Architect Usman Mohammed Dibal, the Head of the Department of Architectural Technology, who passed away at the Modibbo Adamawa University Teaching Hospital, Yola.

Architect Usman Mohammed Dibal was a dedicated academic, an exemplary leader, and a consummate professional. He was not only a teacher but also a mentor and a source of inspiration to colleagues and students alike. His immense contributions to architectural education and the growth and development of the Department of Architectural Technology will remain indelible.

He was widely respected for his passion for teaching, commitment to excellence, and unwavering support for both staff and students, qualities that reflected the highest ideals of academic service.
The Polytechnic community mourns this great loss and extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and students. We pray that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings, grants him Aljannatul Firdaus, and gives his loved ones the strength to bear this irreparable loss.

May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

BREAKING 🔥

Federal Polytechnic Mubi, through the Centre for Entrepreneurship, Skills Acquisition and Technology Development (CESTD), on Monday 8th December 2025 hosted the Inclusive Graduation of Trainees Young Adults on Skills Acquisition from selected project communities of Michika and Madagali LGAs of Adamawa State. The graduation brought together beneficiaries who successfully completed intensive hands‑on training in various trades, equipping them with practical skills for livelihood and community rebuilding.

The event was organised by COCIN Community Development Programme, Molai, in collaboration with CBM International and funded by BMZ Germany, underscoring a strong partnership for inclusive development in conflict‑affected communities. Federal Polytechnic Mubi provided the venue and institutional backing through CESTD, reinforcing its mandate to drive entrepreneurship and skills acquisition across the region.

The Rector, Dr Abdulrahman Aspita Ishaka, was represented by the Registrar, Mr Istifanus Bindu Andrew, who conveyed Management’s goodwill and commended the efforts of COCIN CDP, CBM International and CESTD in empowering youths and vulnerable groups.

The Director, CESTD, Dr Nami Marcel Gaila, lauded the trainees for their dedication and urged them to use their new skills to create jobs, support local economies and serve as ambassadors of both the project and the Polytechnic.
