I wasn’t part of senators who supported Tinubu’s emergency rule in Rivers- Kingibe

She specifically criticized the National Assembly for the use of vouce vote, describing it as unconstitutional.

In a statement on Friday, Kingibe said a mere voice vote could not have accurately determined the required two-thirds majority consensus needed.

Suspended Rivers governor Fubara relocate to Bayelsa govt house

The suspended governor of River State, Siminalayi Fubara, and his family habe relocated to the Bayelsa State government House.

Fubara and his family are currently being accommodated by the state governor, Douye Diri.

He is expected to be in Bayelsa for the period of six months before coming back to the Rivers State.

Senators yet to approve Tinubu’s state of emergency in Rivers

By the provision of Section 305 (2) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the Senate is mandated to approve the emergency proclamation with two-thirds of its total 109 members.
