An entertainment show by a fast rising artiste that started here in Nnewi happened on Sunday the 23rd of August 2026 in Anaedo hall.
The show lacked proper and strategic local promotions. The organisers failed to do their jobs well. The show that was supposed to be shutdown ended up becoming a big flop.

The annoying thing about all these is that people always come to Nnewi, do things wrongly, fail and now conclude that Nnewi is not a viable market for what they are bringing.

“No More Osu In Nnewi”
- HRH Igwe Kenneth Orizu(III)

During the 43rd Ofala festival of HRH Igwe Kenneth Orizu(III) , he publicly abolished the osu practice in Nnewi.
What that means is that osu is no longer effective in Nnewi and that no one should be discriminated anymore for being an osu.

It's been over twenty years since the abolishment of osu in Nnewi, but the big question remains if the abolishment is truly effective and practical, or if it was just on papers and words of mouth.
