The incident happened during a Sunday service at the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas. A man suddenly pulled out a sawed-off shotgun and opened fire on the congregation.
Tragically, two worshippers lost their lives before Wilson, a fi****ms instructor and head of the church’s volunteer security team, reacted.
From about 45 feet away, he drew his handgun and fired one accurate shot, bringing the attacker down and preventing further bloodshed. Authorities said the entire incident lasted less than six seconds and was captured on the church’s livestream.
Afterward, Wilson said:
“I don’t feel like I killed a human, I killed evil.”
