TOPIC: CAST YOUR BURDEN UPON THE LORD.
TEXT: Psalm 55:22-23

OBJECTIVES
1. To understand what it means to cast our burdens upon the Lord, and the profits of doing so.

💬EXCERPTS

Life is full of burdens. The only people who have no burdens are dead people. If you are alive and on earth, you have a burden. You will even have a greater burden if you want to be successful.

Becoming a Christian does not exempt you from having burdens and challenges in life. In fact, it implicates you for having more. This is because as a Christian, you are the salt of the earth, and the light of the world. Seeing people in pain fills you with burden. Seeing people suffering fills you with burden.

Being a Christian is not an escape route from the burdens of life. Everyone who is alive has a burden to bear.

To bring the burden to the Lord means you are prepared to endure the weight for some time. But to cast the burden upon the Lord is that you can't have it again, and you just throw it away.

God is saying, "with a sense of urgency, throw the burden on Me."

God doesn't want us to carry the burden. He doesn't want us to bear the burden. He knows it is too heavy for us. Matthew 11:28, 1 Peter 5:7.

When God instructs us, He always instructs us to do what we have capacity to do. How many certificates do you need to be able to cast your burden? None!

Don't let the way people treat you make you see God the way He is not. This is because our world is full of selfish and uncaring people.

When God says, "cast your burden upon Me," He is not looking for a way to appear good. No, He is saying, "I care for you."

Many people believe they can handle all their problems better than God.

HOW DO YOU CAST YOUR BURDEN UPON THE LORD?

1. Identify the burden.

🎯 Identify the particular burden. Are they family, academic, or financial burdens? Identify them.

😔 What is robbing you of your peace and joy? That is what burden is.

2. Replace worry over that burden with prayer. Philippians 4:6

🕯️ Let prayer and petition replace anxiety and worry about the problem.

📝 How to cast your burden upon the Lord is to turn the burden into prayer points.

😌 Until you pray and you feel a relief inside of you, you have not prayed. You know you have prayed when peace replaces anxiety.

🕊️ The proof that you have prayed is that you have peace over a matter.

🔍 HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY CAST YOUR BURDEN?*

1. ⛪ Pray until your joy is full. Pray until you have peace. Pray until there is no more worry about it. When you have done that, replace murmuring and complaining about the problem with worship and thanksgiving.

🙏 Thanksgiving is a confirmation that your faith has received what you have asked God for.

3. 🎤 Start rehearsing your testimonies, instead of rehearsing the problem.

🧠 It stops your mind from thinking backward. It stops the devil from playing games on your imagination.

📦 God ensures that your help and assistance is not limited to what man can offer.

💔 There are people who are constantly running out of supply in life because their source/sustenance is men. Casting your cares upon the Lord ensures that God is your source and sustenance.

💎 PROFITS OF CASTING YOUR BURDEN UPON THE LORD:

1. 🛠️ God becomes our sustenance. He will take charge and become your source.

2. ⚖️ God guarantees you stability. He ensures that we are not moved, sunk, or destroyed by the burden.

💪 There are burdens God will not take away. Instead of taking them away, He will multiply strength to carry the burden. Instead of God taking away a burden, He increases energy that makes the burden look light.

🩺 When people don't hand their burdens to the Lord, that is when they become hypertensive.

3. ⚔️ God will deal with the source of the problem.

🔥 God will go after evil men behind your problems and bring them down to the pit. Psalm 55:23.

❌ Don't break your head over a witch. Of course, you will pray and do warfare. But then, hand that devil over to the Lord.

🙏 PRAYERS AFTER THE WORD
1. 🛐 Father, thank You for Your Word to me tonight, in the name of Jesus.

2. 🎯 Father, I cast my burdens upon You, in the name of Jesus.

We are yet to recover from the move of the Spirit we enjoyed in all our services yesterday

God’s presence was so real and tangible— we are still in awe of the mighty move of the Spirit that swept through every service.

Hearts were stirred, lives were transformed, several healing testimonies including people healed online, and destinies aligned with God’s purpose. What a mighty God we serve!

The Word came forth with power through God’s Servant on “Season of the Manifestation of Glory – Preparation of the Body” — equipping us to position ourselves for the glory that is already here.

Truly, these are days of glory, and we are walking in it! To God be all the glory for His matchless grace!

I declare this week is your week of "TRIUMPH."

I am sent by God with a prophetic mantle to announce to you that this week, no matter what confronts you, you are emerging victorious! Your testimony has loaded and will not delay to manifest. As you go out this week, in the name of the Lord Jesus, you will return with victory, and testimonies.

Anywhere it looks like the devil and his agents have been getting the upper hand, from now onwards, they go down in defeat, while you walk in perpetual triumph, in the name of the Lord Jesus.

TOPIC: THE LAWS OF POVERTY.

Laws of poverty are spiritual, moral, and practical principles of life that, once you break them, you open the door for poverty and lack.

Many people are poor in life not because they don't work hard, but because they are ignorant.

Many people are poor in life not because they are not talented and gifted, but because they are ignorant of the principles that make for prosperity or poverty.

PRINCIPLES THAT WILL GUARANTEE YOU POVERTY

1. THE LAW OF LAZINESS (Proverbs 6:10-11).
If you choose laziness, you have chosen poverty.

The sign that you are a lazy person is that you like to take naps always. You don't sleep too much, but you punctuate and litter your day with little, little sleep.

2. THE LAW OF IDLENESS.
Proverbs 10:4, 16:27 (TLB)
Fold your hands, fold your destiny.

If the devil wants to keep you poor, and steal all the money that belongs to you, he will keep you idle.

3. THE LAW OF ADDICTION TO MERRIMENT AND PLEASURE.
If you want to spend all your time on entertainment, you will end up in poverty.

4. THE LAW OF STINGINESS (Proverbs 28:22 (TLB), Proverbs 11:24).
You choose to be stingy, you have chosen to be poor. Nothing will deliver you from poverty when you choose the path of stinginess.

5. THE LAW OF POOR STEWARDSHIP.
If you can't manage the wealth, time, and resources God gives you, you will end up in poverty.

6. THE LAW OF WASTE.
If you choose to be a waster, you have chosen the path of penury and lack.

7. THE LAW OF OPPRESSION AND INJUSTICE.
When you choose to exploit others, you may prosper temporarily, but ultimately you will go bankrupt.

8. THE LAW OF BORROWING.
When you make borrowing a lifestyle, there is no prophecy that will deliver you from poverty.

9. THE LAW OF ADDICTION TO FANTASIES.
When you choose to be a dreamer living in a fool's paradise, pursuing unrealistic goals, you will only end up in poverty.

10. THE LAW OF SLEEP.
Marry your bed, marry poverty. When you choose to sleep from morning till evening, you will wake up in bankruptcy.

11. THE LAW OF MISPLACED PRIORITIES.
If you don't know what matters at a given time in your life, prepare to spend your fortune on frivolities. The outcome will be poverty.

12. THE LAW OF HASTE/IMPATIENCE.
Haste, they say, makes waste. People who choose to be hasty about life, especially about making money, will find themselves in poverty.
