The Vice-Chancellor of Delta State University, Abraka, Prof. Andy Egwunyenga has disclosed that the state-owned tertiary institution has attained significant recognition at the local and international levels.

DELSU Scholar, HGO Igben Gets NIPR Assignment

A seasoned public relations scholar at Delta State University, Abraka, Dr. Harvey Igben, has been billed for the lead speaker’s role in the forthcoming Public Relations Clinic and monthly general meeting of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Delta State Chapter.

Igben, who is currently the Head of Mass Communication at DELSU, will speak on “Public Relations for Good Governance” at the meeting scheduled for February 8, 2024. Read more👇

BREAKING: DELSU Extends School Fees Payment, Course Reg To Feb 5

The management of Delta State University, Abraka has extended the official deadline for the payment of school fees and registration of courses for the 2023/2024 academic to February 5.

Sources within the university management disclosed the new date to DELSU Echo in confirmation of our earlier exclusive report that the deadline will be extended today.

Our investigation also showed that the online registration portal, which was closed on Monday, has been reopened in line with the new date: February 5, 2024 at 11:59 PM. Read more 👇

Yuletide: Time To Spread Joy, Hope, Says Egwunyenga

The Vice-Chancellor of Delta State University, Abraka, Prof. Andy Egwunyenga, has called on Nigerians to leverage the festive season to extend joy and hope to the less fortunate.

Egwunyenga made the call at the university’s first Christmas carol held yesterday at its expansive convocation hall.

The university helmsman explained that the true meaning of Christmas transcends gifts and decorations, noting that the communal love and kindness associated with the season should be prioritised. Read more 👇

Reflecting On The Biting Cost Of Living In Abraka

There is a story on the lips of the children and adults; it is on the lips of the youths and the aged; the men and women; indigenes and non-indigenes- a story all Abraka residents have to tell. It is the story of the high cost of living.

This challenge has found itself a throne in the Abraka community wherein the Delta State University sits. A bag of sachet water has risen to #350. Transport fare within and outside campus has doubled. The price of petrol has skyrocketed. In short, the cost of living in Abraka relentlessly slopes upwards, leaving little or no room for residents to adjust.
