​We often mistake "being busy" for "being alive." We get caught in a cycle of reacting to emergencies, paying bills, and just trying to make it to Friday. We tell ourselves that once the "storm" passes, we’ll start living. But if we aren't careful, we spend our entire lives in survival mode, waiting for a peace that never comes because we’re looking for it in our circumstances instead of our Source.

​God’s plan isn't for you to just "get by." He isn't interested in you barely making it across the finish line on fumes. He offers a life that is full—which doesn't mean a life without problems, but a life where you are so restored and strengthened from the inside out that the problems don't define you. What He gives doesn't just "patch" the holes; it rebuilds the ship. ⚓✨

You can buy a person’s time, but you have to earn their heart. 🤝

​We often wonder why a team isn't hitting its potential or why "quiet quitting" is happening. We look at the systems, the software, and the strategy—but we often overlook the culture. The truth is simple: People don’t give their best where they feel undervalued.

​When a person feels like a "cog in a machine," they do the bare minimum to get by. But when you lead with respect, you build a foundation of trust. And trust is the ultimate multiplier. It removes the friction of micromanagement and empowers people to take ownership. When your team knows they are valued, they don't just work for you; they build with you.

They say every leader has imperfections, but there is a massive difference between a leader who admits his flaws and one who remains idle during a crisis. On Christmas night 2025, the world saw "Peace through strength" in action as U.S. strikes hit terrorist camps in Northern Nigeria. If Tinubu’s "imperfection" is a lack of urgency, Trump’s "imperfection" is his bluntness—but he gets the job done. He promised to stop the slaughter of innocents, and he did exactly that.

The Integrity of Obedience: Respect for the Chain of Command

​This is a pivotal moment in Nigerian civil-military relations, and my full support is with Lieutenant A.M. Yerima! 👏

​In the military, the chain of command is sacrosanct. Yerima repeatedly stated, "I am only acting on my order," and "I am acting on orders"—this is the foundation of military discipline and institutional integrity. A soldier's duty is to his command structure, not to the emotional outburst or perceived "authority" of a political appointee outside that structure.

​Why Yerima's Stance Matters:
​Integrity and Discipline: An officer's primary loyalty is to the orders of his commandant (who in this case, reportedly, had a valid claim to the property). Undermining a junior officer who is following orders severely weakens the military's internal structure and discipline.

​Rule of Law vs. Impunity: While the land dispute itself must be resolved legally by the appropriate agencies (FCDA, courts), the way Yerima stood his ground against a Minister's attempt to use verbal intimidation is a breath of fresh air. He defended the right to follow protocol and refused to be silenced, even when insulted. "I will not shut up!" is the voice of an officer with integrity.

​The Uniform Represents the State: Yerima was wearing the uniform of the Nigerian Navy. The public humiliation of a uniformed officer by a political office holder, regardless of the legality of the underlying land dispute, sets a dangerous precedent that undermines the entire Armed Forces and the authority of the Commander-in-Chief.

​Lieutenant Yerima displayed remarkable restraint, professionalism, and courage in a highly tense situation. His resolve confirms the standard we expect from our servicemen and women.
