Pope Francis has died, the Vatican has announced in a video statement on Monday, April 21, 2025.

The first Latin American leader of the Roman Catholic Church died at the age of 88, according to Cardinal Kevin Farrell in a statement published by the Vatican.

Pope Francis' death comes 24 hours after a brief appearance before thousands of Catholic pilgrims gathered in St Peter’s Square for the Vatican’s open-air Easter Sunday mass.

Imagine the profound sacrifice of giving everything you have, driven solely by your deep, unwavering love for someone. I'm sure you would be willing to do anything for them because that's the power of true love.

In a similar way, God has demonstrated the boundless depth of His love for us.

As John 3:16 beautifully captures, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

God didn't just send His Son to erase our sins or offer us freedom – He did it to show us how deeply and personally we are loved by Him.

God has the power to create all things; if something wears out or becomes broken, He can recreate to replace everything except His Son, Jesus Christ, and you and me—the greatest treasures He possesses.

Regardless of who you are or what you have done, God's love for you remains constant. He sees you, knows you, and chooses you every single day.
