Stop chasing clout with VDM’s name” says the ratels. VDM doesn’t have a name. He has a past with big men in Abuja in many parastatals, something he admitted to himself. He must not use that past to manipulate Nigerians by embarking on forced NGO projects, disguised activism and deceptive practices like purchasing treasury bills from his NGO funds claiming he’s using the interest to pay employees.

NGO’s mostly invest in volunteers, something he has not been taught. VDM is no different from Blessing CEO even lying to donors that the NGO account was hacked and money stolen sending media and bloggers into a frenzy weekend and defaming a prominent bank that didn’t even notice. Jim Ovia specifically told Zenith bank PR department not to bother sending out a press release on the matter ad he was notified that VDM was creating content. VDM claimed he was using the lies to create awareness on what people should believe online. You don’t do that with NGO funds. It constitutes to defamation by deception even going as far as saying one of the fraudsters fled to 🇬🇭 Ghana a country already battling with Nigerian Yahoo boys. This is the VDM that should be portraying Nigeria in a good light? He is a fake manipulative personality. I studied his critics for 2 years and they are completely right about him~~ ...

Xenophobic att@cks: FG to begin repatriation of Nigerians in South Africa

Following the increasing xenophobic att@cks in South Africa, the Federal government has concluded plans to assist in the repatriation of stranded Nigerians in South Africa,

In a statement released this evening, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu, said President Tinubu has instructed that the priority at this time remains the safety of our citizens. Consequently, arrangements are currently underway to collate details of Nigerians in South Africa for voluntary repatriation flights for those seeking assistance to return home.

Ojukwu mentioned that so far 130 applicants have duly registered for the exercise with Nigeria’s mission in S.A, but this figure is expected to rise. She mentioned that Nigerian associations in South Africa are also assisting our mission in this regard.

‘’Nigeria is a frontline state that made great sacrifices towards the liberation struggles of South Africa, a fact which needs to be distilled down to the younger generation in South Africa.

Nigerian lives and businesses in SA must not continue to be put at risk, and we remain committed to working with South Africa to explore ways to put an end to this xen@phobic pattern. It has become a repetitive wave, most especially prior to elections in South Africa, and anti foreigner opposition parties leverage this situation to garner votes. Discussions with my South African counterparts on this matter are ongoing, and Nigeria recently signed a memorandum of understanding with South Africa on early warning to protect citizens of both countries, especially in times such as these.’’ she said..

I sat down scrolling through my phone, and like many others, I came across the trending story about Sisi Alagbo.

At first, it was just another headline. Another video. Another moment people were rushing to talk about. But as I kept reading the comments, something didn’t sit right with me.

The insults were heavy. The judgment was loud. The mockery was endless.

It felt like the world had suddenly found one person to blame, one person to shame, one person to remind us all of “what not to be.”

And I paused.

Not because I agreed with what happened, but because I started thinking deeper

What makes us so quick to tear someone down?

I imagined what it must feel like waking up to see your name everywhere, not for something you’re proud of, but for something you wish never happened. To see strangers, people who don’t know you, speaking about you with so much certainty, so much harshness, as if they have never made a mistake themselves.

Then I remembered a Yoruba proverb: “Ti áșčni tĂ Ăł dĂ© lĂĄrĂ, ti áșčni tĂ Ăł Ƅ bĂČ ĂĄ ti mĂĂŹ.”
Today, it is her. Tomorrow, it could be someone else.

The truth is, many of us are only “better” because our flaws are hidden. Because our mistakes were never recorded. Because our private lives have not been exposed to the world.

We all have moments we are not proud of. Moments we wish we could erase. Decisions we would never want people to define us by.

But life did not put a spotlight on us.

This time, it did on her.

Yes, what happened is not something to ignore or celebrate. But she has already come forward to apologize. That alone shows she recognizes the weight of it. And in that moment, she is not just a trending topic, she is a human being trying to face the consequences of her actions.

What she needs is reflection, guidance, and the chance to grow.

But what she is getting
 is noise.

Endless noise.

Because somewhere along the way, we forgot that correction is not supposed to destroy a person. It is supposed to help them become better.

Dragging someone endlessly does not make us righteous. It only makes us louder.

If we truly care about values, then we should also care about how we respond when people fall short of them.

Because one day, life might test you in a way you never expected. And when that day comes, you will not just need judgment

You will need understanding.

So before you type that next comment, before you share that next post, take a moment and ask yourself:

Am I helping this situation
or am I just adding to the damage?

Let us remember that behind every trending story is a real person.

And behind every mistake
is an opportunity to do better.
