The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will be on campus this Thursday and Friday for PVC registration and other related electoral services.

Students who are yet to register or collect their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.

IDODE COMMUNITY ANNOUNCES ORO RITUAL IN AGO-IWOYE

The Idode Community in Ago-Iwoye has officially announced plans to hold an Oro ritual on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 10PM to 4AM.

According to the notice, the exercise is part of burial rites within the community, while security agencies and nearby institutions, including OOU, were informed.

Residents and students around Ago-Iwoye are advised to remain indoors during the stated hours and stay security conscious.

OOU SUG Raises Security Alarm
Following the recent rise in robbery attacks and violent incidents around student areas in Ibogun and Ago-Iwoye, OOU SUG has issued an official security statement to all students.

Students are advised to:
• Return home before 10PM
• Avoid walking alone at night
• Move in groups during late outings
• Stay alert and report suspicious activities immediately

The Union also confirmed that security agencies have been contacted and affected students are receiving treatment and support.

Dear OOUites,

A student of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Gift Kehinde Augustine, has reported the disappearance of her 21-year-old brother, who is medically challenged. According to her, he came to visit her at her hostel on Friday, April 10, after she picked him up from their mother’s shop.

She stated that while she was inside her hostel on Thursday, April 16, he left the hostel premises and has not been seen or heard from since then.

We kindly urge everyone to stay alert and report any useful information that may help locate him. Please share this information widely to increase the chances of finding him safe and sound.
