APC State Chairman, Rt. Hon. Christopher S. Eta, Flags Off Table Tennis Tournament at Prince Otu Veterans Sports Festival, Donates Cash Support.
The table tennis competition of the ongoing Prince Otu Veterans Sports Festival was officially flagged off today at the Calabar Sports Club by the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Cross River State, Rt. Hon Christopher S. Eta.
Speaking during the flag-off ceremony, Rt. Hon. Eta commended the organizers of the festival for sustaining an initiative that promotes healthy living, unity, friendship, and active participation in sports among veterans and the larger community.
He noted that sports remain a powerful tool for fostering social cohesion, discipline, and community development, while encouraging participants to compete in the spirit of sportsmanship and excellence.
In a demonstration of his support for the tournament and the development of sports in the state, the APC State Chairman made a cash donation towards the successful hosting of the competition.
The gesture was warmly received by players, officials, and spectators, who expressed appreciation for his presence and support.
The Prince Otu Veterans Sports Festival continues to bring together sports enthusiasts from across the state, celebrating fitness, camaraderie, and the enduring values of sports.
