Senate Begins Screening of General Christopher Musa (rtd) as Minister of Defence

The Nigerian Senate has commenced the screening of General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd), former Chief of Defence Staff, for confirmation as Minister of Defence.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu nominated General Musa to replace Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, who was redeployed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the recent cabinet reshuffle.

The nomination letter was read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during Tuesday’s plenary, after which the former CDS appeared before the Committee of the Whole for screening.
General Musa is widely acknowledged for his leadership in the fight against insurgency and insecurity during his tenure as Chief of Defence Staff.

The Senate is expected to conclude the process and announce its decision shortly.

FRED OBI SIGNS NEW CONTENT CREATION DEAL WITH XAVI HOMES

Ogoja Breaking News can confirm that renowned media personality and digital creator, Fred, has officially signed a multi-year contract with Xavi Homes, one of Ogoja’s fastest-growing real estate development firms.

According to details shared by Mr. Obi, the new agreement appoints him as the official content creator for Xavi Homes until the end of 2026, marking a significant milestone in his media career and reinforcing the company’s commitment to expanding its digital presence.

Xavi Homes currently boasts over 250 plots of land at its Abakpa-Ogoja layout, located behind CRUTECH (UNICROSS) Ogoja Campus. As part of ongoing development efforts, the company announced that 900sqm plots are presently on sale for ₦2 million, with a flexible payment plan that allows buyers to pay in two installments.

The contract-signing took place at the firm’s headquarters, where Mr. Obi was received by the company’s leadership in an atmosphere of goodwill and optimism for the future of their partnership.
