“Asake, the Nigerian Afrobeats superstar (real name Ahmed Ololade), headlined Red Bull Symphonic in 2025.
He made history as the first African artist to headline the U.S. edition of the event, performing on November 8, 2025, at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre with a 33-piece orchestra conducted by Glenn Alexander II. Asake reimagined over 20 of his hits (like “Lonely at the Top,” “Sungba,” and “MMS”) by blending Afrobeats, Fuji, and Amapiano with classical arrangements.
The sold-out show featured surprise guest appearances from fellow Nigerian star Wizkid (on “MMS”) and others like Gunna, Central Cee, Tiakola, and Fridayy, but Asake was the main participant and headliner.
The full performance is available on YouTube via his channel in collaboration with Red Bull. No other Nigerian artist has headlined a Red Bull Symphonic event to date.”
