CHIEF DR. RUBEN OGBUGO, THE ADIRAHU NY'IGEDE- KAHA, OYO STATE DONATED TWO STANDING FANS AND TWENTY THOUSAND NAIRA WORTH OF FUEL TO AGBA COMMUNITY RADIO,
His Royal Highness, Chief Dr Reuben Ogbugo the Adrahu Ny'Igede Kaha, Oyo state donated two standing fans and twenty thousand Naira worth of fuel to support Agba community radio operation.
Presenting the items Chief Ruben Ogbugo said he was moved to action when he appeared for a program at the station and discovered that the studio fan was faulty and volunteers were working under a very uncomfortable condition. He thank the board of Trustees chairman chief Engr Morgan Okwoche for his vision and the Managing Director, Chief Ogbu Ego for his outstanding sacrifice and commitments to ensure that best standards are maintained.
Chief Ogbugo also call on all Well meaning Igede sons and daughters to come to the aid of the radio station because the running cost is very expensive, adding that even commercial radio stations are not finding things easy. He concluded by thanking the volunteer staffs for their priceless sacrifices and promised to make more efforts tuward supporting Choice Fm.
Receiving the items chief Ogbu Ego thank him for coming to the aid of the radio station at a very critical time when the station is struggling to remain on air. The General Manager told chief Ogbugo that the radio has come this far and recording great achievements in social behavioral change communication impacting healthy living condition, improved agricultural practices leading to better yield and promoting unity amongst the three major tribes by airing news in three languages, Igede, Tiv and Idoma.
According to Chief Ogbu Ego, the support by Igede ka ha goes beyond the value of the items to raise hope for the radio stations sustainability and appeal to more young people to support the vision of providing our people with relevant information to enhance growth and development.
Speaking on behalf of volunteers, the program manager, Agi Mervin Onahi and Bishop Okechukwu Chukwuma the manager administration and finance expressed appreciation to Adrahu Ny'Igede KA Ha for fulfilling his promise to the radio station. Remarking that the General Manager and many volunteers staffs have been making huge sacrifices to ensure that the radio continue to render service to their father land while so many people think they are rolling in money for working at Choice Fm and appealed to others illustrious son and daughter to emulate chief Ruben Ogbugo of Igede Kaha
