The president of the Kogi State Customary Court of Appeal led some prominent Judicial Staff members on a Courtesy Visit to His Royal Majesty, Alh. (Dr.) Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje Ohinoyi of Ebira.

The visiting Legal luminaries used the opportunity to pray for a prosperous reign of the revered monarch.

*Ohinoyi of Ebira Applauds Philanthropist Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmed for Supporting Champion Athlete-Miss Sarah Ovayioza Mathew*

The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji (Dr.) Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, has expressed profound appreciation to Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmed, a respected son of Ebiraland and renowned philanthropist, for his exceptional show of support to a promising Ebira-born athlete, Sarah Ovayioza Mathew.

During a recent courtesy visit to the Palace, His Royal Majesty brought to the attention of Alhaji Ibrahim the case of a young Ebira female athlete, a distinguished weightlifter and arm wrestler, who has consistently brought pride to the land through her numerous medals and international representation. His Majesty appealed for assistance to enable her continue on her remarkable path.

Alhaji Ibrahim, in his characteristic humility and compassion, requested her contact details and reached out to her shortly thereafter. He listened to her challenges and made a firm promise to intervene.

To the delight of all, on 20th July 2025, Alhaji Ibrahim’s foundation team returned to the Ohinoyi of Ebira Palace and officially invited the athlete home, where she was presented with a donation of ₦2,300,000 (Two Million, Three Hundred Thousand Naira). This timely intervention is aimed at supporting her training and career progression.

Receiving the guests on behalf of His Royal Majesty, the Director of Protocol, Musa Usman, conveyed the Palace’s heartfelt gratitude to Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmed and described the gesture as both noble and timely. He reaffirmed His Majesty’s commitment to identifying and supporting talents across Ebiraland, stressing that the development of the Kingdom remains his priority.

In her response, the athlete expressed deep appreciation to both His Royal Majesty and Alhaji Ibrahim. She promised to utilize the funds responsibly, continue winning medals, and work hard toward becoming a source of inspiration and support to others in the nearest future.

Special prayers were offered for Alhaji Ibrahim’s continued success, with special commendation extended to his wives for their unflinching support, and to the Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmed Foundation team for their role in executing this noble mission.

This act of kindness reaffirms the powerful role, philanthropy can play in shaping a progressive and united Ebiraland.

The Chief Judge of Kogi State and Presiding Judge of High Court One sitting in Lokoja, Hon. Justice Josiah Majebi, has struck out an application seeking enforcement of the removal of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Alhaji Tijani Anaje. As part of the Uniting Drive of His Royal Majesty Ohinoyi of Ebira Alh Dr Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje.

The monarch was at the Residence of Adogu of Eganyi and the Ohi of Ajaokuta for the Eche-Ori festival yesterday on July 13, 2025. His Royal Majesty who arrived both palace had in entourage some traditional rulers across Ebiraland and the Palace staff members, he was received by the Ajaokuta Local Government Chairmen Hon. Haruna Aliyu Ogido.

The event which was a week long event came to an end with celebration and entertainment.

His Royal Majesty in his speech applause the people for the successful celebration devoid of violence, as the only tool to social development is peace and unity, he commiserates with the representative of Ajaokuta Federal Constituency at the National Assembly over the death of his mother who was with us last year in the celebration, he prayed for Allah's mercy upon her. Similarly he commended the Ajaokuta Local Government Chairmen for the people oriented system of government that is driving the peaceful state of the Local Governments as he encouraged him to put in more effort.
