Bajowa Hails Appeal Court Ruling, Says Ondo People’s Will Has Prevailed

The Jagunmolu of Ikaleland and Ojagbulegun from the Source, Prince Dr. Gen. Olu Joseph Bajowa (CFR, OFR), has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and his deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, following the affirmation of their election by the Court of Appeal.

In a congratulatory message, Gen. Bajowa described the ruling as a reflection of the people's will, emphasizing that "Vox populi, vox Dei" the voice of the people is the voice of God.

He commended the judiciary for upholding justice, noting that the decision reaffirmed the trust and mandate freely given by the electorate.

The Court of Appeal, in a unanimous decision delivered by Justices Nimpar Yargata, K.I. Amadi, and I.M. Sani, dismissed the petitions against Governor Aiyedatiwa's election, citing lack of merit and failure to prove non-compliance with the Electoral Act.

Gen. Bajowa also offered prayers for the success of the administration, asking Almighty God to grant the governor and his deputy wisdom, protection, and guidance as they lead the state forward.

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, OSOPADEC Chairman, Prince Biyi Poroye, embarked on a strategic development tour across Okitipupa and Ese Odo Local Government Areas.

The tour featured inspection of hostel infrastructure at OAUSTECH, Okitipupa; a courtesy visit to His Imperial Majesty, Pere Zacchaeus Doubra Egbunu, Agadagba of Arogbo Kingdom; on-the-spot assessment of the General Hospital Agadagba Obon project; and a live inspection of the Igbotu Township Road.
