MY HUSBAND BLAMED ME FOR THE SON I GAVE BIRTH TO π
π EPISODE 10 π
I thought he was about to hand me another lie.
Instead, he pulled an old family photograph from his pocket.
The same photograph he had carried everywhere for years.
As I stared at it, memories of the life we once shared came flooding back.
Then he said something I never expected to hear...ππ₯°
My husband slowly reached into his pocket while I stood there holding the medical report. My heart was pounding so hard that I could hear it in my ears.
For a moment, I thought he was about to pull out divorce papers or another secret document. At that point, I felt like nothing could surprise me anymore.
Instead, he pulled out an old photograph.
Without saying a word, he handed it to me.
I looked down at the picture and immediately felt tears gathering in my eyes. It was a family photo taken years ago. It was me, my husband, and our two daughters. Back then, we were happy. We laughed together, ate together, and dreamed together.
Before all the secrets.
Before all the lies.
Before everything started falling apart.
I looked up at him in confusion.
"Why are you showing me this?" I asked quietly.
His eyes filled with tears.
"I carry that photo everywhere I go," he replied.
I stared at him, unable to speak.
Everywhere?
He nodded.
"Whenever I look at it, I remember the family I almost destroyed."
The room became silent.
For the first time since I had discovered his secrets, I could see genuine regret in his eyes. Not excuses. Not anger. Not pride. Just regret.
He wiped his face and continued.
"I know I don't deserve your forgiveness. I know I've hurt you more than anyone ever should. But if there is even the smallest chance that we can fix this family, I'm willing to do whatever it takes."
His words caught me off guard.
Part of me wanted to forgive him.
Part of me wanted to walk away forever.
And another part of me was simply exhausted from carrying so much pain.
Before I could respond, the other woman quietly picked up her handbag.
She walked toward the door and stopped beside me.
Then she looked directly into my eyes.
"You deserved better than this," she said softly.
With that, she left.
The door closed behind her.
For the first time in a very long time, it was just me and my husband standing in the same room, surrounded by the truth we had both been avoiding.
And that was when he told me something I never expected to hear.
To be continued...
