Shaykh Ibrāhīm ‘Aliyyullāhi Bālógun: “A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed”
In the journey of life, there are friends, and there are companions. There are associates, and there are brothers. But when times are tough, and help is rare, the one who stands with you is not just a friend — he is a pillar, a blessing, and a true gem of the soul.
Such is the image of Fadhīlat Ash-Shaykh Ibrāhīm ‘Aliyyullāhi Bālógun, the founder and spiritual torchbearer of the Allāhu ‘Aliyy Group in Ore City. He is not only a Shaykh by name but a manifestation of sincerity, support, and divine love in action.
When the dream of Al-Burhān Islamic Foundation was but a seed, buried in uncertainty and surrounded by the storms of doubt, Shaykh Ibrāhīm stepped forward—not with mere words, but with deeds, resources, and unshakable solidarity. He gave not only his endorsement but opened the minds and hands of the Allāhu ‘Aliyyah and al-Qādiriyyah groups from Benin, Modakeke, Ife, Ore, and Osogbo — letting the dream breathe, rise, and shine in Ondo City.
Indeed, “A friend in need is a friend indeed,” and Shaykh Ibrāhīm proved that proverb with grace, humility, and unwavering faith.
His support was not driven by politics, nor was it shaped by gain. It was brotherhood for the sake of Allāh, and it stands today as a model of genuine leadership, Islamic unity, and selfless friendship.
To call him a friend is to understate.
To call him a leader is to narrow the truth.
He is a father, a founder, and a faithful light in our journey.
“Whoever relieves a believer of a burden from this world, Allah will relieve him of a burden from the Day of Judgment...” — (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)
Shaykh Ibrāhīm, you relieved our burden. May Allāh continue to lift yours.
قصيدة الوفاء للصديق الوفيّ
في مدح فضيلة الشيخ إبراهيم عليّ الله بلوجون (حفظه الله)
بعنوان: "الصديق وقت الضيق"

صَدِيقٌ إِذَا جَاءَ الزَّمَانُ بِكُرْبَةٍ ✧ وَنَادَتْ مَصَائِبُ، قَالَ: هَأَنَذَا أَبْدُو
٢
تَجَلَّى كَبَدْرٍ فِي اللَّيَالِي الْمُظْلِمَاتِ ✧ وَمَدَّ يَدَاهُ بِالْوُدِّ، لَا بِالتَّرَدُّدِ
٣
وَيَوْمَ دَعَتْنَا حَاجَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِنَا ✧ أَجَابَ، وَفِي الْخَيْرَاتِ أَصْبَحَ يَسْعَى بِيَدْ
٤
دَعَانَا لِوَحْدَةٍ وَدَعَمَنَا بِفِكْرِهِ ✧ وَقَالَ: نُقِيمُ الْحَقَّ فِي كُلِّ مَوْقِدِ
٥
أَنَا شَاهِدٌ أَنَّ الْبُرْهَانَ بِهِ نَمَا ✧ وَمِنْهُ تَلَقَّيْنَا الْعَزِيمَةَ وَالسَّدْدِ
٦
وَيَوْمَ جَفَا كَثِيرٌ وَغَابَ أُوْلُو الْوَفَا ✧ وَقَفْتَ مَعَ الْحَقِّ بِقَلْبٍ مُوَحَّدِ
٧
يَا شَيْخَنا، يَا نُورَنَا، يَا دَعَامَةَ الْـ ✧ ــإِيمَانِ فِي زَمَنِ الْفِتَنِ الْمُتَجَدِّدِ
٨
سَنَبْقَى نُجِلُّ الْوُدَّ فِيكَ وَنَحْفَظُ الـ ✧ ـعَهْدَ، فَأَنْتَ الصَّدِيقُ الْمُجَرَّبُ فِي الْمَجْدِ
٩
وَدَعْوَتُنَا: اللَّهُمَّ زِدْهُ كَرَامَةً ✧ وَارْفَعْ لَهُ ذِكْرًا وَزِدْ فِي الْمُسَنَّدِ

فَـ"صَدِيقُ الضِّيقِ" إِذَا ظَهَرَ فِي أُمَّةٍ ✧ فَتِلْكَ الْأُمَمُ فِي النُّورِ لَنْ تَتَبَدَّدِ
English Translation – Poetic Version

A friend appears when trouble calls,
He rises true, when others fall.
2
Like moonlight breaking darkest night,
He brings pure love without a fight.
3
When burdens came, he answered fast,
With giving hands that ever last.
4
He stood for truth, he gave us grace,
And lit the path in every place.
5
Al-Burhān bloomed by his firm hand,
He raised the dream to firmly stand.
6
When others left and hope grew thin,
He stayed with faith that burned within.
7
O Shaykh, O light, O guide so dear,
You calmed the storms, you crushed the fear.
8
We hold you in our hearts with pride,
The friend who stood and never lied.
9
We pray: May Allah raise your name,
And bless your path with endless fame.
10
For where a loyal friend appears,
That land shall shine for countless years.
