UGOSINACHI IN AWKA_ETITI YESTERDAY AS INYOM AWKA_ETITI HOLDS ANNUAL SUMMIT TO UNVEIL THEIR RENOVATED CENTRE AND GARRI PROCESSING UNIT

The Honorable Member representing the good people of Idemili South in Anambra State House of Assembly Hon.Barr.Ebuka Igwe KSC JP on Saturday 11th October attended the 2025 Annual Inyom Awka_Etiti Women summit and Unveiling of Centre and Garri processing Unit.

In his speech, Ugosinachi appreciated the women for taking care of their homes and urged them to keep praying always for their family.
He also advised the women to spend quality time with their children in order to instill good morals in them and make them shining lights in our society.

In conclusion, Ugosinachi Idemili South congratulated the women for setting up a garri processing unit which will help to boost their local economy.

The women in appreciation thanked Hon. Barr. Ebuka Igwe KSC JP for his support and also commended his efforts so far in giving them quality representation at the State House of Assembly.

Man raises alarm over the deplorable condition of parts of the Onitsha-Owerri expressway.

This federal highway, which has been cut off by erosion, needs urgent repair work. Southeastern Nigeria state governors whose indigenes use that route should engage with the federal government to push for remedial action.

The Christmas season is nearly here, and that highway is a key transit route to the Southeast. If urgent repairs are not made, those returning home for Christmas will face significant traffic delays on that road.

Former Anambra state Commissioner for Information, C . Don Adinuba Commenting on the issue in a WhatsApp platform said; “I forwarded the video of the collapsing portion of the Onitsha-Owerri Rd at Ozubulu or so to the Minister of Works, and he responded immediately, saying that the Federal Controller of Works in Anamb State has been dispatched to the site.I commend the Minister for his rapid response”

Our people deserve better. The Minister should not have waited for the alarm to be raised before taking action.

A New Order for Anambra Schools

Soludo has spoken. Effective immediately, three long-standing traditions are officially banned in every school across Anambra State—public, private, and mission.

The ban is absolute and applies to:

1. Writing in Textbooks: The pages of school textbooks will remain pristine. This ends now.
2. School Graduation Ceremonies: The pomp, the gowns, the ceremonies, they are cancelled.
3. Christmas Parties: No more end-of-year celebrations or parties.

This isn't a suggestion. It is a directive. And Soludo himself will be leading the charge to enforce it. Expect compliance. Expect change.

The old way is over.

Earlier today, Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Ibezi was present at the International Conference Centre, Awka, for the Colloquium and Public Presentation/Launch of the book “The Audacity to Transform: A Front Row Testimony on the Ongoing Development in Anambra” authored by Dr. Anselm Onuorah.

The event, which focused on the remarkable transformation under the administration of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, brought together top political figures, scholars, and stakeholders who commended the governor’s vision and developmental achievements across the state.

Hon. Ibezi’s presence at the occasion underscored his continuous interest in policies and initiatives that promote progress and good governance in Anambra State.

Most of Anambra lawmakers would rather stay in their farms than come to work because there’s no work to do — Hon Bernard Udemezue(Isi Enyi)

Suspended Anambra State House of Assembly member, Hon. Isi Enyi, has lamented the poor performance and dwindling participation of lawmakers in the state legislature.

Speaking during an interview with GBAM (GBAM Interview YKF), Hon. Enyi revealed that the Assembly has been struggling to form a quorum, sometimes finding it difficult to get up to ten members to sit for plenary sessions.

According to him, the problem began after Governor Chukwuma Soludo assumed office, when the lawmakers’ overhead allowances were allegedly reduced by ₦1.8 million. He claimed that the development has dampened morale and significantly reduced the commitment of members.

Enyi further alleged that the Assembly members’ impact has been minimal, as their voices are not being heard. He also disclosed that on most sitting days, plenary begins by 1:00 p.m. and ends as early as 1:30 p.m., reflecting the low level of legislative activity in the House.
