SUPPORTERS OF OJIKE INNOCENT “OJICAM” REJECT OYI HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY PRIMARY ELECTION RESULT, DEMAND RESTORATION OF HIS MANDATE

Supporters and members loyal to Ojike Innocent, popularly known as Ojicam, have rejected the announcement of the second primary election result for the Oyi State House of Assembly seat under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

The aggrieved supporters staged a protest at the Anambra State Government House, carrying placards with various inscriptions expressing their displeasure over the outcome of the primary election process.

According to the protesters, Ojicam emerged as the preferred choice of the people during the ward primary election, insisting that the mandate freely given to him must be respected and protected.

Some of the placards displayed during the protest carried messages such as: “Return Ojicam’s Mandate,” “Ojicam Is Our Choice,” “We Reject Imposition of Candidate,” “Don’t Destroy APGA in Oyi,” “Return the People’s Mandate,” and “We Reject Manipulation of Ward Primary Election Results.”

The protesters also appealed directly to the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, to intervene and ensure justice and fairness prevail in the matter.

They warned that any attempt to alter the outcome of the ward primaries or impose another candidate could create division and disunity within APGA in Oyi Local Government Area.

HAPPY CHILDREN’S DAY, UMU IDEMILI SOUTH!

As we join the rest of Nigeria and the world to celebrate this special day dedicated to our children, let us remember that Children’s Day is not only a moment of celebration but also an opportunity to reflect on the challenges affecting our children and work towards meaningful solutions.

Children are precious blessings from God, full of innocence, hope, and limitless potential. Spending time with a child reminds us of the beauty of life and the promise of a brighter future.

The 2026 National Children’s Day theme in Nigeria, “Future Now: Promoting Inclusion for Every Nigerian Child,” is both timely and significant. It reminds us that every child, regardless of background, ability, or circumstance, deserves equal opportunities, quality education, protection, care, and a chance to thrive.

As your House of Assembly Member, I remain committed to supporting laws, policies, and programmes that promote the wellbeing, inclusion, protection, and development of every child in our society because investing in our children means investing in a better future.

On this special occasion, let us all join hands to create a safer, more inclusive, and hopeful society where every child is valued and empowered to succeed.

Once again, Happy Children’s Day to Umu Idemili South worldwide.

Hon. Sir Ebuka Igwe Esq., KSC, JP (Ugosinachi)
House of Assembly Member, Idemili South Constituency
