Prayer to Our Lady of Lourdes 🙏🌹✨
O most compassionate and pure Virgin Mary,
Mother of tender love,
healer of the sick,
shelter of sinners,
and the comfort of the weary,
you behold my pain, my struggles, and my tears.
Look upon me with your gentle mercy.
When you appeared at Lourdes,
you transformed it into a sacred haven,
a refuge where the weak and suffering
can discover solace, healing, and hope.
With unwavering trust in your intercession,
I place my heartfelt request before you.
Grant me the strength I long for,
and guide me closer to the joy of your Son.
O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who turn to you.
Amen.

🕊 SAINTS OF THE DAY 🕊
🙏🏿St. Teresa of Calcutta🙏🏿
(Feast: September 5)

Patron Saint of World Youth Day

St. Teresa of Calcutta, better known as Mother Teresa, spent a majority of her life helping the people of Calcutta, India. She was a nun, missionary, and the founder of the Missionaries of Charity. Originally a member of the Sisters of Loreto, she started her own ministry after travailing to Darjeeling and and seeing the plight of the poor. In 1950 she received Vatican permission for the Missionaries of Charity with their main goal being to take care of the poor and the sick. She quickly grew her order into an international organization and expanded the scope of their ministry to cover different areas like hospice. Although she passed away in 1997, she left behind a lasting legacy. Her order has grown to more than 5,000 religious sisters and they are present in 139 countries. She is a patron saint of World Youth Day.

September Devotion – The Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary ...

Yes, the Catholic devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows designates the month of September to remember and meditate on the seven sorrows of the Virgin Mary, which are significant moments of her suffering. The Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows is specifically celebrated on September 15, commemorating events such as Simeon's prophecy, the flight into Egypt, the loss of Jesus in the Temple, meeting Jesus on the way to Calvary, the crucifixion, the taking down of His body, and His burial.

BER Months
September - The Birth of the Virgin Mary

October - Month of the Holy Rosary

November - Month of Prayer for the Dead

December - Birth of our Lord and Savior

As the Church’s calendar moves from September to December, we journey through themes of life, prayer, remembrance, and hope.

● In September, we celebrate the Birth of the Virgin Mary, the dawn of salvation history. Her “yes” opened the way for Christ.

● In October, we honor the Holy Rosary, a powerful prayer that helps us meditate on the life of Jesus through Mary’s eyes.

● In November, we remember the faithful departed, uniting ourselves with them in prayer and entrusting their souls to God’s mercy.

● In December, we rejoice in the Birth of Christ, our Savior, who entered the world in humility to bring light, peace, and redemption.

Each month calls us to deepen our faith, live in prayerful hope, and prepare our hearts for the coming of the Lord.

🙏 Prayer

Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the gift of the Church’s seasons that guide us closer to Your heart.
Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
help us to grow in prayer and holiness.
Grant eternal rest to all the faithful departed,
and fill us with the joy of Christ’s birth,
so that we may live as children of Your light.

Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

🌹 Our Lady of Sorrows 🌹

Today we remember the Seven Sorrows of Mary, our Mother, who shared deeply in the sufferings of Christ. Her pierced heart reminds us that following Jesus is a path of love, sacrifice, and faith.

🙏 The Seven Sorrows of Mary:
1️⃣ The Prophecy of Simeon
2️⃣ The Flight into Egypt
3️⃣ The Loss of the Child Jesus in the Temple
4️⃣ Meeting Jesus on the Way to Calvary
5️⃣ The Crucifixion and Death of Jesus
6️⃣ The Body of Jesus in Mary’s Arms
7️⃣ The Burial of Jesus

✨ Devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows teaches us to unite our own pain with the Cross of Christ and to trust in God’s mercy.

💙 Holy Mother, grant us the grace to bear our crosses with love as you bore yours.

The devotion to the Chaplet (Rosary) of the Seven Sorrows of Our Lady is rich in promises. According to tradition and the messages given to St. Bridget of Sweden and later confirmed in various Marian apparitions (especially Kibeho, Rwanda), Our Blessed Mother gave seven special promises to those who faithfully pray the Chaplet of Her Sorrows:

🌹 Promises of Our Lady of Sorrows Chaplet

1️⃣ Peace in Their Families
Mary promises peace and unity within the homes of those devoted to her Sorrows.

2️⃣ Enlightenment About Divine Mysteries
They will be guided in understanding the mysteries of God more deeply.

3️⃣ Consolation in Sufferings
Mary will comfort them in their trials and give them strength in sorrow.

4️⃣ Protection and Special Graces
She promises her maternal protection, especially in times of temptation and spiritual battle.

5️⃣ Assistance at the Hour of Death
Mary will appear to them at the moment of death, so they may not be overcome by despair or the attacks of the evil one.

6️⃣ Direct Entry to Eternal Joy
Those who honor her sorrows daily will be taken directly to eternal happiness, skipping long purification.

7️⃣ Extraordinary Graces for the Devoted
Mary will grant whatever is asked through this devotion if it conforms to the will of God and helps in salvation.

O Blessed Virgin Mary,
Mother of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
you are the gentle Queen of Heaven
and the refuge of sinners on earth.

With a heart full of trust, I come before you today. Spread your mantle of love and protection over me. Intercede for me before your Divine Son, that my prayers may rise like incense before His throne.

Mary, Star of the Sea, guide me in the storms of life. Mary, Comfort of the Afflicted, heal my wounds. Mary, Mother of Mercy, obtain for me the grace to live in holiness.

Teach me to love Jesus with your own pure heart, to obey Him with humility, and to serve Him with joy until my life’s end.

O Mother most faithful, never abandon me.
Stay with me in every trial, and lead me safely to your Son, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen. ✝️💙

Happy Fiesta, SAN AGUSTIN — from sinner to saint!

1. Who is Saint Augustine?

Saint Augustine of Hippo (354–430 AD) was one of the greatest Fathers of the Church, a theologian, philosopher, and bishop, known as the "Doctor of Grace."

2. Was Augustine always a saintly man?

No. Augustine was known in his youth as a notorious sinner. He lived a worldly life, indulging in pleasures, vanity, and even fathered a child out of wedlock.

3. What was Augustine searching for in his sinful life?

He was searching for truth, happiness, and fulfillment, but he sought them in worldly pleasures, philosophy without faith, and human recognition—none of which satisfied his restless heart.

4. What led to his conversion?

The prayers and tears of his mother, Saint Monica, the preaching of Saint Ambrose, and ultimately, the grace of God led him to realize that only in God could he find rest.

5. What words of his became famous after his conversion?

In his Confessions, Augustine wrote: “You have made us for Yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in You.”

6. What virtues can we learn from Augustine’s conversion?

We learn humility (acknowledging our sins), perseverance (never giving up on God’s mercy), and hope (that even the worst sinner can become a saint by God’s grace).

7. Why is Augustine called a "Doctor of Grace"?

Because he powerfully taught that it is not by our own efforts, but by God’s grace, that we are saved and transformed into saints.

8. What lesson does Augustine’s life give us today?

No matter how sinful or far we may have wandered, God’s mercy is greater. If we allow His grace to touch our hearts, like Augustine, we too can move from sinfulness to holiness.
