Benedictus

(Song of Zechariah Luke 1:68-79)

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel; He has visited to His people and redeem them. He has raised up for us a mighty Savior, In the house of David, His servant. Through His holy prophets He promised of old that He would save us from our enemies, from the hands of all who hate us. He promised to show mercy to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant. This was the oath He swore to our father Abraham: to set us free from the hands of our enemies, free to worship Him without fear, holy and righteous in His sight all the days of our life. You, my child, shall be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go before the Lord to prepare his way, to give his people knowledge of salvation by the forgiveness of their sins.

In the tender compassion of our God the dawn from on high shall break upon us, to shine on those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death, and to guide our feet Into the way of peace. Amen.

Divine Mercy prayer by St Mary Faustina
O greatly merciful God, infinite Goodness ,
Today all mankind calls out from the abyss of its misery
To your mercy --- to your compassion,

O God ; and it is with its mighty voice of misery that cries out .
Gracious God do not reject the prayer of this Earth's exiles!
O lord, Goodness beyond our understanding,
Who are acquainted with our misery
Through and through,
And know that by our own power
We cannot ascend to you,
We implore you ; anticipate us with your grace and keep on increasing your mercy in us,
That we may faithfully do your holy will ,all through our life and death's hour.
Let the omnipotence of your mercy shield us from the darts of our salvation's enemies,
That we may with confidence ,
As your children await your final coming
- that day known to you alone ,
And we expected to obtain everything promised us by Jesus in spite of all our wretchedness .
For Jesus is our hope:
Through his mercy heart
As Through an open gate we pass through to heaven

O most compassionate and pure Virgin Mary,
Mother of tender love,
healer of the sick,
shelter of sinners,
and the comfort of the weary,
you behold my pain, my struggles, and my tears.
Look upon me with your gentle mercy.
When you appeared at Lourdes,
you transformed it into a sacred haven,
a refuge where the weak and suffering
can discover solace, healing, and hope.
With unwavering trust in your intercession,
I place my heartfelt request before you.
Grant me the strength I long for,
and guide me closer to the joy of your Son.
