ODUAH BRINGS FREE INTERIOR DECORATION SKILLS TRAINING TO ANAMBRA NORTH YOUTHS

Youths across Anambra North Senatorial District are set to benefit from a free practical skills training programme facilitated by Senator Princess Stella Adaeze Oduah (Omueze) in partnership with Dunzeck Home Interior Ltd.

The initiative is aimed at equipping interested youths with practical, income-generating skills in modern interior decoration while encouraging productive engagement and self-reliance.

The programme is open to eligible youths across Anambra North, irrespective of political affiliation. Members of APGA, APC, PDP and other political parties are welcome to participate.

The initiative is not a political party programme, but a skills-development opportunity intended for the people of Anambra North.

Participants will receive hands-on training in 3D Wall Panel, Floor Mural, Wall Mural, Fluted Panel, Wallpaper Installation, Window Blinds, Stretch Ceiling and Decorative Painting, among other areas.

According to the organisers, the vision behind the initiative is to help young people acquire practical skills that can provide a foundation for employment, entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods, while reducing youth idleness and vulnerability.

Importantly, the programme will not end with the initial three-day training. Further training and continued learning opportunities are expected to follow, enabling participants to improve their skills and expand their knowledge beyond the first phase.

The three-day training is scheduled as follows:

Date: September 28–30, 2026

Time: 9:00 am daily

Venue: Dolly Hills Hotel, 3 Agbasimalo Street, 3-3 Onitsha.

The training is completely free of charge.

The organisers are therefore calling on interested youths across Anambra North to take advantage of the opportunity and encourage others to participate.

ANAMBRA POLICE JOINT CHECKPOINT THWARTS ALLEGED ABDUCTION, RESCUES 16-YEAR-OLD BOY IN ONITSHA

Command intensifies surveillance for suspected abductors; seeks public assistance to reunite victim with family in Enugu State

The Anambra State Police Command has intensified efforts to apprehend a suspected criminal gang following the rescue of a 16-year-old boy, Favour Ayogu, who was allegedly abducted in Igboeze South Local Government Area of Enugu State and later abandoned near a security checkpoint in Onitsha.

The rescue followed improved strategic joint security operations conducted on the evening of 13 September 2026.

A joint patrol team operating at Ekene Junction along Oguta Road, Onitsha, intercepted the victim after he was reportedly dropped from a black Toyota Highlander SUV by unidentified persons close to the security checkpoint.

The swift response of the joint patrol team led to the boy’s rescue and prevented further harm. The Command has since stepped up surveillance and other intelligence-led measures to identify, trace, and arrest those responsible for the alleged abduction.

The Anambra State Police Command appeals to members of the public, particularly residents of Igboeze South and Ibagwa-Aka in Enugu State, who may have information that could assist in locating the victim’s family, to contact the nearest Police Station or the Anambra State Police Command.

The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, psc, mnips, commended the joint patrol team for its vigilance and professionalism. He further urged personnel to sustain intelligence-led patrols, strategic checkpoints, and coordinated security operations across the State.

The Command reassures residents and visitors of its unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property, responding swiftly to distress situations, and ensuring that criminal elements have no safe haven in Anambra State.

ANAMBRA POLICE CONDEMN ALLEGED BRUTAL ABUSE OF 7-YEAR-OLD GIRL; SUSPECT ARRESTED IN AWADA-OBOSI

CP Nnanna partners Commissioner for Women Affairs to secure urgent medical care and protection for victim

The Anambra State Police Command has strongly condemned the alleged brutal abuse of a seven-year-old girl in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area, and has reaffirmed its resolve to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.

The Command received a report in the evening of 13 September 2026 concerning alleged child abuse and severe bodily injuries involving Oluebube Ofoma, aged seven. The prompt intervention of security personnel from the Ibollo Community, Awada-Obosi, and concerned residents led to the child’s rescue and the arrest of her mother, Mrs. Ogechi Ofoma, 32.

Preliminary information indicates that the child was allegedly subjected to severe physical abuse, including injuries reportedly inflicted with a hot knife.

The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, has commenced collaboration with the Anambra State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare to ensure that the victim receives urgent and appropriate medical care, protection, and all necessary welfare support.

The Command commends the vigilance, courage, and public-spirited intervention of the Ibollo Community security personnel and residents whose swift action helped save the child from further harm and enabled the immediate commencement of police action.

The Anambra State Police Command assures the public that the investigation will be thorough, professional, and uncompromising. The welfare, safety, and best interests of the child remain paramount, and the Command will continue to work with relevant agencies to protect vulnerable persons and ensure accountability in accordance with the law.

SCT JOINS DEPUTY GOVERNOR IBEZIM’S FAMILY TO CELEBRATE DAUGHTER, KAIRA, AT 2

The Solution Continues Team (SCT) joined the family of the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, and other distinguished guests to celebrate his daughter, Princess Kaira Ibezim, as she marked her second birthday.

The colourful celebration brought together family members, friends, dignitaries and well-wishers in an atmosphere of joy, thanksgiving and warm family fellowship, as they celebrated the remarkable milestone and gave thanks to God for the gift of young Kaira.

Led by its State Coordinator and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters, (Office of the Deputy Governor) Hon. Chinedu Ofojebe, the SCT used the occasion to extend its heartfelt felicitations to Princess Kaira and the entire Ibezim family.

The Team prayed that the young princess would continue to grow in sound health, wisdom, grace, favour and the fear of God, while enjoying divine protection, guidance and fulfilment throughout her life.

The SCT also expressed its appreciation to Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim and his family for the opportunity to share in the joy of the special occasion, describing the celebration as a beautiful moment of family, friendship and togetherness.
