In audio mixing, delay is an effect that repeats a sound at regular intervals, creating echo-like sounds. This is not to be confused with Reverb.

Delay is used in post productions for creative purposes, to fill in spaces, and lots more.

Here's a simple explanation

If you clap your hands in your bedroom, the sound dies quickly.

In simple language, Reverb is the natural echo that makes a sound feel bigger, fuller, and more alive.

We use reverb in post productions to emulate different spaces, enhance vocals and also for creative purposes.

HOW TO KILL TENSION WHILE RECORDING IN THE STUDIO.

Prepare adequately. Know your music inside out. Rehearse until you can perform it without overthinking. This frees your mind to focus on expression, not survival.

Do vocal warm ups to get your voice ready. It's a shame most people don't even know about this.

Drink water! Dehydration can decrease your comfortability thereby, leading to unnecessary tension.

Don't get frustrated over mistakes: The studio isn’t live performance, you can redo takes. Removing the “must be perfect” mindset eases pressure.

Limit the crowd: Too many people watching you record can create performance anxiety. This is main reason we limit crowds during recordings at *NewAge Music Studios*

Take deep breaths. Shake out your arms and neck to release physical tension.
