This video captures a tense and revealing moment in Onitsha Market, Anambra State, following a statement by Governor Chukwuma Soludo. The Governor warned traders that if they failed to open their shops on Monday, the market would be shut down for one week as a punitive measure.
However, what unfolded on the ground tells a different story.

Instead of traders rushing to open their shops out of fear, people gathered and openly expressed solidarity with Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of IPOB. In the video, voices can be heard singing and chanting, referring to Nnamdi Kanu as “holy, holy” and “another saviour.” This reaction is not about commerce, but about conviction.
