THE REALITY OF MOTHERHOOD NOBODY TELLS YOU ABOUT

Motherhood is sweet o… until you realize “sleep” has packed its bags and left your life.

They said motherhood is beautiful, true. But they didn’t tell me that “beautiful” also includes:

• Shouting “close the fridge!” 50 times a day
• Hiding snacks like a thief in your own house
• Pretending to sleep so your child will sleep, but ending up snoring before them
• Bathing one child while shouting “come here!” to the other one still running naked around the house

You’ll clean the house, only for them to scatter it in 10 minutes like you never tried.
You’ll cook food, they’ll say “I don’t want that one.”
Then you’ll see them eating biscuit that fell on the floor

And when you finally sit down to rest, that’s when you’ll hear:
“Mummy, I’m hungry.”
“Mummy, I want to poo.”
“Mummy, I can’t find my shoe.”
At that point, you’ll just be asking yourself, “Is this my destiny?”

But you know the funny thing?
No matter how stressful it gets, once that child says “Mummy, I love you,” your heart melts like butter.
All the shouting, stress, and tiredness disappears instantly.

Motherhood is a full-time comedy show mixed with love, chaos, and grace.
We shout, we laugh, we cry,but we still show up every day like the superheroes we are.

I remember having a suitor back in my 200 level.
His father saw me at my uncle’s burial, and two days later, he came to make his intentions known.
