This is the Governor of Ebonyi State.
He took this picture with his wife and son in 2010.
In the year 2010 he was a bricklayer in his village Izzi.
Then in 2011 a man picked him and sponsored him into being elected as a member of Ebonyi State House of Assembly where he later rose to the position of a Speaker. He founded favour with the then Governor who chose him as APC governoship candidate and today he is a governor.
I learnt that he wrote Senior School Certificate Examination while he was a member of Ebonyi State House of Assembly.

If anyone had told his wife that the man he married as a bricklayer would become a governor in just few years.

Despite the fact that her parents trained her in school and also despite the fact that she is from a well to do family, yet she married a poor guy that was molding bricks for a living.

Be inspired by this story, tomorrow is too great, don't look at yourself based on what you are currently going through, a year is enough for your story to change, keep pushing...

My wife is my wife, her past is her past. If you've ever slept with her or you know people who have slept with her, that's your problem.

Every woman has a past she surely regrets and every good human being makes mistakes, but that doesn't prevent her from being an ideal woman for another man.

WHY I SPENT ONLY 500K DURING OUR WEDDING

When we decided to get married, I made it a priority to prepare for marriage rather than just the wedding.

I understood that a wedding lasts for just a day while marriage lasts forever.

Thank God my wife shared the same mentality and embraced it wholeheartedly.

I told her the only thing I would ensure is her happiness. If she is happy, then I am satisfied.

So, I didn't bother to hire the best wedding planner, the best photographer, or to buy the best wedding gown.
I didn't worry about getting the best cars.

If I tell you that I didn't spend up to 500,000 Naira in cash to get things done, you might not believe it.

We did everything within our means and our budget and avoided borrowing.

While others were borrowing money for their weddings, I went back home with a fat account balance.

I did an engagement.
I did an introduction.
I did the white wedding.
I did a reception.

People ate at my wedding.
We took pictures.
There was a DJ.
There was cake.
We did it inside a decorated hall.
We drove in a beautiful cars.
We slept in a hotel.
We did everything you can think of.

For example:
- Our DJ charged us only 30K.
- We spent just around 20K on phography.
- We didn't go for high luxury cars.

This is not a call against comfort or luxury but a call to understand your capacity and act according to your pocket while you prepare for marriage, not just the wedding.

Instead of focusing all our strength on just the wedding, we planned for our marriage.

We attended marriage counseling.
We read books on marriage.
We visited couples who are enjoying their marriages and learned from them.

We prepared for marriage, not just the wedding.

Dear intending couples, be wise with your finances.

Whatever you do, make sure you do it within your budget and capacity.

You will realize that immediately after the reception, everyone will disappear, leaving you with your spouse.

What you have left is what you will take home.

Nobody has ever won an award for the best wedding.

No matter how unique and luxurious your wedding is today, someone will have a better wedding ceremony tomorrow.

The life after the wedding is more important than the wedding day.

Please, prepare for marriage, not just the wedding.

A wedding is for a day while marriage is forever.

Remember, use wisdom.

BEFORE YOU BECOME A WIFE, LISTEN TO ME!*

*1. HAVE SOUND VISION FOR YOUR LIFE*

You are more than a cook and baby factory. You are on a earth for a purpose. What is your vision, what is your mission? What is your reason for existence? Do you want to end up without fulfilling your purpose on earth all because of marriage? Your marriage should not jeopardize your mission and vision rather it should contribute towards making them a realization.

*2. HAVE A SOURCE OF INCOME*

If you have no job or business you are doing and you are looking for an ATM man to dump all your financial responsibility on, you will end up a leech, not a wife, a sucker, not a giver, a liability, not an asset, a burden not a burden bearer! Get a job!

*3. TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY*

Some ladies are in their twenties and they look close to their graves, why? How many children have you had? Why are you not firm, smart, healthy and attractive?

If you have health issues, darling, pray for healing before you get married. With faith you will be healed.

If you eat junks, stop the trash and eat healthy food. Too much sugar, red meat, chocolates are not good for you. They are waiting to affect your body in future.

*4. LEARN HOW TO ADDRESS A MAN*

You don't talk to a man like your errand boy or primary school mate. You talk to him as your head with respect and honour. If you can't respect a man and regard him as the leader in your relationship, forget about marriage darling or you may end up divorced or single mother.

*5. LEARN HOW TO COOK

See, men don't joke with their stomach. Learn to cook different types of food and soup. Routine food eventually becomes tasteless and uninviting.

Men love adventure. Children love adventure. Cooking different types of soup/food make your husband stay at home and have no need wandering into bukaterias, cafeterias, eateries etc where daughters of Jezebel may seduce and sn**ch him from you!

*6. LEARN ABOUT S*X*

Not by practicing for God's sake, you are not yet married. Few months/weeks to your wedding, learn about your s*xual anatomy, s*xuality, reproductive organs, ge****ls, etc. Be familiar with your body and prepare for quality s*x IN MARRIAGE.

I get too many chats from naive, ignorant brides and it gets to me. Some even stay off s*x for weeks or months on end after wedding. What's the meaning of that nonsense?

Take a mirror and look at your va**na, l***a minora, l***a majora, cl****is, va**na entrance, some say if you look close enough you will see your h***n. Each part has its functions in marriage.

*7. BE A PRAYER MACHINE!*

A woman who cannot pray is not ready for marriage! Your husband has a great destiny to fulfil, you have a great destiny to fulfil, your children has a great destiny to fulfil and the devil won't fold his arms and watch protect your family by soaking them in prayer!

If you are a lazy spiritual bum as a single lady, your prayer life will end up a sorry case after marriage! Before you become a wife, prepare well so you do not end up a failure in your husbands house.
