HOW TO START PLANTAIN CHIPS BUSINESS

Are plantain chips Business profitable?

Yes, the plantain chips business can be a profitable venture, especially in regions where plantains are readily available and the demand for snacks is high. The business has a low startup cost, a good profit margin, and multiple sales channels.

You can start plantain chips business from the comfort of your home. It’s not difficult, anyone can do it . Go to plantain market , you can buy 2 bunches for 10,000 or so, buy a gallon of groundnut oil , a sachet of salt, frying pan , transparent nylons , you can package it with your business name and supply to shops, supermarkets, schools, malls etc .

INGREDIENTS:

👉Ripe or unripe plantains
👉Vegetable oil
👉Salt
👉Veg Oil

Optional ingredients:
👉Ginger, Garlic, Powdered pepper

HOW TO PREPARE YOUR CHIPS:

👉STEP1: Wash plantains. Peel them and slice into very thin circles.

👉STEP2: Place all the slices into water until you finish. This way you can maintain their color.

👉STEP3: Salt the water and stir.

👉STEP4: Pour into a sieve. All the water has to be drained out to leave plantain slices dry before frying them.

You can add any other additional ingredients at this point.

👉STEP5: Add oil into a deep pan and preheat it. Place plantain slices into the hot oil and fry until they turn yellow. Do not overcrowd the pan.

👉STEP6: Remove excess oil from your chips by placing it on paper towels or newspapers.

PACKAGING YOUR CHIPS FOR SALE:
Put quantities of the finished product into transparent air tight nylon bags or transparent containers according to your target sales.

Put your product label that contains:
👉Your product name,
👉Company name,
👉Your contact and any other vital information you wish in each bag.
