Nobody prepared me for this part of motherhood. 💔
This is how some of my nights looks like
At 2:30 a.m., my 3-year-old was crying because he missed his daddy.
I had my newborn in my arms, but I still had to cuddle my toddler, speak to him in Igbo, reassure him that I was there and that Daddy would come.
Sincerely it's not been easy for me, seeing him in this state brakes my heart..
I'm currently so stressed and drained emotionally but still needs to be strong for my kids
Ok at that time One child needed comfort.
The other needed me too.
And somehow, I just have to hold everything together. 🥺
He eventually slept… but my newborn didn't sleep until around 4:18 a.m.
To every mother raising children while living apart from their husband or co-parent, I see you.
And to the divorced/separated mothers raising toddlers who miss their dads… how do you cope with moments like this?
