๐Ÿ’ฅZAMFARA STATE ZAKAT AND ENDOWMENT BOARD MANAGEMENT ZEB......ON SITE VISIT TO SOZEA WAQF DATE FARM......

The Farm situated at Tsamiya District of Tureta local government area of Sokoto State remains the second largest date field in the country based on the record available.

The waqf project is a home to over three thousand date stands erected in a diagonal planting format to pave the way for seamless intercropping farming practices.

Earlier the Chairman SOZEA Malam Muhammad Lawal Maidoki briefed and conducted with visitors round the three thousand stands date farm.

The visit to the Tsamiya Date Farm proves quite eventful as it features special and insightful face to face interaction on agro waqf and related projects initiated by SOZEA for consideration and possible replication by its Zamfara state counterparts.

Questions and responses later ensued much to the delight of all in attendance.

The site visitation effectively signals climax of the 3- Day collaborative working visit by Zakat and Endowment Board Zamfara State aimed at strengthening bilateral relationship for the benefits of the people of the two states especially the underprivileged section by leveraging Zakat and waqf potentials as obtains in other parts of the world.

The spotlight includes a group photograph involving the host, visitors as well as the farm workers and the locals who went along to catch the glimpse of the show.

Ismail Ibrahim Muhammad,
Public Relation Officer SOZEA.

๐Ÿ’ฅPresident Tinubu Arrives Kano to Condole with Dantata Family Over Business Tycoonโ€™s Passing

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Kano State on a condolence visit to the family of the late elder statesman, renowned businessman, and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, who passed away in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on June 28, 2025.

The President touched down at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport at approximately 3:30 p.m. aboard the Nigerian Air Forceโ€™s Presidential Aircraft, marked 001.

He was warmly received by a high-powered delegation led by Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, alongside senior government officials, traditional leaders, and security chiefs.

President Tinubu was accompanied on the trip by Senate President Godswill Akpabio and other senior aides.

According to a State House statement, the President's visit is part of his long-standing respect for the Dantata family, whom he described as one of the cornerstones of Nigeriaโ€™s commercial legacy. During his visit, he is expected to meet with the family of the deceased and also pay homage to the Emir of Kano, reaffirming the Federal Governmentโ€™s solidarity with the people and government of Kano State during their moment of grief.

Alhaji Aminu Dantata, aged 92, was one of Nigeriaโ€™s most influential business moguls and patriarch of the famous Dantata family. He was also a deeply respected Islamic philanthropist and elder statesman.

While President Tinubu was abroad at the time of Dantataโ€™s passing, he had promptly directed the Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, to lead a federal delegation to attend the burial, which held in Saudi Arabia in accordance with Islamic rites.

Tinubuโ€™s visit underscores his administrationโ€™s commitment to honouring national icons and fostering unity across all regions of the country.

The Death Of FPMB: A Lesson For the Living

It is no longer news that the former President Muhammadu Buhari has died. May Allah forgive him, be with his family and grant him ease in the grave and Jannah in the Hereafter. ฤ€mฤซn.

But beyond condolences, his death is a mirror for all of us, especially Nigerians, to reflect. Not just on him, but on ourselves.

Letโ€™s ask ourselvesโ€ฆ

Why are government officials looting public funds? Why are ordinary citizens engaging in money rituals, yahoo yahoo, greedy business practices, and even kidnapping innocent people for ransom? Why do lecturers humiliate students unjustly, or inflate scores for bribery? Why are traders hiking prices deliberately, not out of necessity but out of greed? Why are politicians doing everything possible to hold onto power and influence?

The answer is simple: To amass wealth. To enjoy fame. To chase the world. But here is a question everyone must answer:

How much did former President Muhammadu Buhari take with him? What influence followed him into the grave? What car, what mansion, what convoy joined him in that final resting place? NONE.
You have built estates and kept vaults of naira and dollars, right? What good will it do when your soul is taken?

Excuse me, you ride the biggest cars and are praised on the Internet? Will any of that delay the Angel of Death?

Oh, so you spill innocent blood, crush others with your decisions, and deceive the massesโ€”will the grave ask for your title?
โ€œEvery soul shall taste death, and you will only be given your (full) compensation on the Day of Resurrection.โ€ (Surah Aali โ€˜Imran 3:185)

And the Prophet ๏ทบ said:

โ€œWhen a person dies, all his deeds end except three: Sadaqah Jฤriyah (ongoing charity), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.โ€ (Sahih Muslim)
Let those who strive, strive for these.

LET ME REMIND YOU, YOU WILL LEAVE ALL BEHIND

Your money: legal or illegal will be left. Your power, your mansion, your secret accounts, will all be left. Your bad deeds, they might be the only thing that accompanies you.

So, ask yourself now: Will you be remembered for fairness or for fraud? For kindness or for cruelty? For justice or for oppression?
If we all reflect, truly reflect on death, we will fix our homes, our communities, our politics, our economy, and our nation.

This country can rise again. But it starts with you. It starts with me.
May Allah forgive former President Muhammadu Buhari, have mercy on all deceased Muslims, and make us among those who leave behind goodness, not regrets.
