SAVED BY GOD

When the odds where against me
I was found worthy of death
To perish eternally
As a young lad, I gave up to fate.

Though I never wanted to go unfulfilled
I still didn't fight it
I lived, waiting tenderly for what tomorrow holds
Even though I knew it doesn't have my interest at heart

Finally, it was time
I beheld myself sleeping comfortably in the hands of death
It wasn't proper yet felt so good
I never bothered freeing myself

This is where Jesus came in
Making all things new
Renewing my life
Giving me hope

In different cases
I felt I do not deserve another chance
I've exhausted my chances of living
He still comes through effortlessly

Unlike the devil that came to steal, kill and destroy
Jesus came to give life abundantly
That is one of the many reasons He died
He died that I might live

Gold has to pass through fire for it to shine
I am Diamond not gold
Why then pass through fire to shine?
Clearly, good things don't come easily.

Gold is more popular than Diamond
Gold is easily seen compared to Diamond
Could it be that Diamond is not good enough?
No! Gold is for the rich, Diamond is for the wealthy

Gold is good, shouty and beautiful
Diamond is classic, shouty and beautiful
They have uniqueness in common but are not the same
Diamond is the master of everything fashion accessories

And again, I am Diamond, a Diamond star
Not accessories type of Diamond, I am a human Diamond
I am meant to stand out even in the midst of gold
I am one of a kind

The future

Who knows the future?
Good or bad?
No one knows except the almighty.
He see the future, he knows the future and he pattern it.
We make plans for the future though we know it's not guaranteed.
The past really has a lot on the future, that's why we must live our present with care and maintain our dignity.
When the ups and down of this world want us to deviate from the pattern God made for our future, to follow the shortcut that leads to destruction but is presented to us as gold, we refuse to be distracted.
The future
Our focus
What we see in the future is greater than what we stand to gain if we stray away now.
God is our past, present and future.
He is the hope of glory
The life we live, is his grace.
